you had the main release from codex right? and applied the update1 from bat? thats the "problem". bat is a division of rld and uses their emulation. saves are stored in a different folder

saves "should" be compatible, dont have the release so i cant test it but codex files are stored in:

C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Steam\CODEX\STEAMAPPID

rld savefolder should be: C:\ProgramData\Steam\RLD! <-- or the username you maybe changed in the steam_api.ini and followed by a folder with the STEAMAPPID

The patch that fixes the performance issues like stuttering is out 2 days now. I now have a smooth 60fps experience.
Big news though come from the modding scene. Download this plugin:
http://forums.nba-live.com/downloads.php?view=detail&df_id=8171

Put all the files included in your main NBA2k16 installation folder.
Download any mod you like and put it in the "modded" folder.
That's it! No need to overwrite anything, just place the mods on the above folder and you're good to go!
New mods are coming every day now.

Fourth patch landed yesterday and after all these patches I must say that this is hands down the best sports videogame ever created. It's scarily realistic.

Thanks!
I renamed the thread, since given the slim amount of pages (and changes between the various versions Cool Face), I believe it's better to keep everything in one place for the 2K series. Smile

Still doesn't answer the question! I can't understand why they're so damn huge, that would struggle to fit on a bluray in fact.

That's the cost to pay to have HD armpits, wrinkles and pants!
In all seriousness, I believe the biggest culprit here is the uncompressed audio/dynamic commentary, along with the fact that developers simply don't care about finding more optimized ways to shrink files (they just go on until it fits, so to speak).

@Janz: I'll give you my impressions next year when I finish the download *and* will have enough HDD space to install it Very Happy Laughing

as i said i played the prelude on ps4, think its not worth for me downloading 55gb (and making space) just for a few games now and then

i know what you're saying dude but i think you might be wrong about blurays. older discs were 50GB but we're on 100/128 gig now. at least, according to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-ray#BDXL

and yeah, ixigia is right about the uncompressed video/audio files, that's all it is.

a simple rule of thumb to expect for a PC port of a current-gen console game is, whatever the console bluray disc capacity happens to be, anything inside that (100GB) is normal Wink

it's all about money & marketing too. like, 2K could've easily filled an old 50 gig bluray for PS3 2K17 with a load of lo-res compressed video/audio files and made exactly the same game (with all the extra game, story and career modes) as the PC/PS4/Xbone version (just not hi-res video/audio obv), but of course Sony + Microsoft specifically paid them NOT to do that Wink The PS3 "bluray" version of 2K17 is 8 GB lol. Regular 50+ gig releases are also being used as a sort of sneaky ad-hoc marketing tactic to make it look as if new console games are WAY better on PS4/XBone than they actually are and this is why you need to buy one. Indirect Marketing: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Bernays

Uncompressed audio commentary it is. There are 10 commentators this year. It's fine by me. The dynamic commentary is one of the aspects 2k does great. Even their MLB2k series had incredible dynamic commentary. Compared to EA or KONAMI it's like some thousand light ages ahead...
