I WAS SPOILED! DIDN*T EVEN KNOW THE MANGA HAD RESUMED :////((((( But sounds like i will enjoy the new chapters a great deal! Even though i predict a really shitty development when casca is cured. Well, the writer has become a bit of a wuss so i can't rightly be sure. But i'm sure she won't love guts anymore and she might even be into Griffith. Won't take "it's berserk, what do you expect" as an argument to such a development after all that's been going on through the series.
Edit: I guess her being hellbent on revenge and not thinking of anything else is the most likely scenario, but we'll see!
After watching the sweet and awesome 1997 anime I have tried the 2016 version and WTF is this shit. Everything is bad in it.

I understand that he doesn't want to do another version of the golden age arc, but can't we please just have one fucking Berserk adaptation that starts from the beginning and goes past the first arc?
The only proper adaptation of golden age so far was the 1997 anime and even that one had shitloads of missing stuff, everything after that was bastardized even more with the lowest point begin the shitty CG adaptation. It makes me angry that one of the best manga of all time has the shittiest anime adaptations.
Let's just start from the beginning, the very first chapter of the manga and then go on without skipping stuff for once.
I am not saying the first anime wasn't good, it was actually the only really good version so far, but it does have alot of stuff cut out. Only episode 1 is from the first arc and then from 2 onwards its the golden age arc, there are many chapters in between missing.
It doesn't have shitloads of missing stuff. Some things are cut out, but nothing of real consequence. The first anime is a good one.
I can understand why they cut wyald's arc from the anime
But cutting out most of the Black swordsman(especially the important parts) really took from the point of the series...
The main problem with 1997 anime isn't even those arcs, it's the fact they removed major character and it ended with the most infamous cliff-hunger in human history..
They needed few episodes more to at least avoid that..
I've only seen the 1997 anime (after hearing and reading how other attempts really sucked) and I really liked it. I never read the manga and thus didn't know if and what was missing.
If someone does a new adaptation I sure hope they do it right. While it will take ages before it airs I'd love to watch a more coherent and complete (and well made, well drawn) anime.
