in the past that meant, that nvidia is out of game codes. they will get refilled after sometime so don't delete your nvidia coupon if you already bought it.
it will probably work again just fine in the next weeks. just try it from time to time.

Yeah by default UWP runs both in the background (This can be disabled from the settings app, I forgot exactly where but it's a list of all apps and you can toggle them individually.) and the store also automatically updates though this behavior can be set from the Win10 store settings. Smile

Also keeps some cache stuff even if you did download the main part to a separate HDD so if you wonder why C: is suddenly "a bit" low on disk space well now you know. Razz
(And to think a few days ago I had nearly 600 GB and now it's down to ~450 after Steam updated some games with new content and well this. Razz )

(Around ~20% free space seems to be about as low as it'll go and then well apparently it shouldn't be but it feels like the disk slows down as disk space goes below that and it really slows down below 15% but from what I've read that shouldn't happen.)

That and while undocumented (Or well not part of the announcement changes.) the anniversary update includes critical changes to DirectX including a completely new WDDM update from 2.0 to 2.1 (Which AMD and Nvidia now support properly as of 368.xx for Nvidia and 16.9.1 for AMD.) plus it also includes support for shader model 6.0 though I don't think we'll see that used for a while yet. (WDDM 2.1 supposedly also breaks a few DirectX 9 games that use the API incorrectly or some such, primarily that's Fallout 3 and New Vegas because obviously Bethesda and whatever the hell that engine has gone through had to be involved. Razz )

Besides that it also updates .NET to 4.6.2 from 4.6.1 although UWP apps have their own variant of that and then there's hundreds if not thousands of smaller changes.

The latest cumulative update (Which has install problems on a small amount of systems unfortunately.) also has some further improvements and is as such also recommended although apps such as the store software can be updated separately though you won't have whatever core OS changes and fixes these CU's add so it's best to try and keep updated or just "fuck it" and go for the fast-ring insider and always have the latest new Win10 build but that's a bit of a annoyance to maintain as well plus unlike the slow-ring branch there are more known issues and such since it's pre-release. Very Happy

I've been part of the slow branch since MS first offered free W10 to testers, but it looks like we haven't had a slow-ring update in a while. I think the last one was for the anniversary update.

I don't mind the lack of updates tho, even slow-ring versions were typically very buggy for me. This one is quite stable.

Yes the slow-ring is currently fairly inactive, even the preview cumulative updates and app store updates have been moved to the release preview ring now so until "RS2" is considered stable enough it seems the slow-ring is currently the same as the non-insider version with the exception of the locked feedback settings and telemetry.

I'd imagine it won't be long now until the first RS2 build hits slow-ring though, most of the major known issues have been sorted as of build 14936 though the "sfc.exe /scannow" command is still not functional (Broke in the previous build I believe.) although as far as recovery goes DISM is usually more effective via the "/restorehealth" argument since it can grab files from the online WU repository or a offline image as they're called ("unpacked iso" sort of.) if that is specified as the source to use. Smile

So wait, i pause the download and restart my PC then try to resume it and it goes back to 0.0KB downloaded? even though the files are still there.

what is this shit.

edit: seems like u need a windows update to fix this.

I started the download to test and see if it worked, downloaded 500mb, stopped to restart during my ISP "free hours" (no bandwidth limit), which started 30 minutes later.
When I restarted, it began at 0. Windows isn't offering me any update, sadly. Only Windows Defender definitions updates.

Edit: Tried forcing it to find the update and it seems it finds something, downloads it, doesn't install it. Cool cool cool. I might just finish downloading GoW4 in one go and try to fix this afterward.

my guess is that it doesn't resume from where u stopped, but it only resumes from the file that u completed 100%.

inter, did u pause at 45GB or did u lose some?

I was having trouble pre-loading it earlier but for anyone that has success can you actually select the exact directory it goes to like D:\Games\ or does it only allow you to pick a drive?

yes, it's a start of a new 3 part trilogy with new people. Of course there will be some references during the game but nothing that will spoil the story.

Going by Marcus Fenix having gray hair now I'd assume this takes place some years after those three games of which I've only played the first myself though I could probably read a story summary on any wiki for the game series. Very Happy

Also going by that there seems to be women now this takes place in a alternate universe from the first game. Razz
