Budget <300€
No Boss or Diesel like monstrosities

Here are some that I think look nice:
Fossil

Armani

But what is bothering me here is that while these clocks look nice, I don't want to pay extra just because of the brand. To me it looks as if those Fossil, Armani, Boss, Hilfiger and other known "fashion" brands are all just Chinese Watches where you pay extra for the name.

Why shouldn't I just go for some Chinese Watch with an unknown brand name if it looks equally good? Or isn't it worth the hassle as good looking Festina, Citizen, Jaguar, Lotus are already available at ~150€?

You buy a nice watch because of the internal craftmanship not what it looks like really. Look up the information on that and make your choice maybe.

I want a nice looking watch on my wrist, I don't really care how it works, as long as it doesn't break down after 2 years like my last Fossil (why I'm not very eager to go for a Fossil)

Hmm ... looks as if I'm going for a chronograph :/ I actually like the fossil the most. The non glossy outer ring looks really nice. But I also like the dark dial of the Armani... The Zeppelin might be a little bit too complex.

This one's certainly unique. Razz

EDIT: But personally as long as it keeps time and is somewhat robust I'm OK with almost anything so I have no idea what's considered modern or trendy nowadays. Very Happy

Nowadays, you can even get china copies that are perfectly good as watches (often using the same exact parts as the "real" versions), they just don't carry the same kind of prestige when you want to resell it. I'd never order those replicas online tho since you never know what you'll get and customs might take it away.

But yeah, big part of the price is in the brand. Which is silly anyway since most people won't recognize any of them except Rolex.

Fossil is the best of the brands you listed. My Fossil has been kicking for 4 years. I have had it's battery changed and internals looked over Smile
Besides, Fossil makes internals of most of the brands you listed here Wink

Yeah, also that it's not so shiny. But I wanted a darker dial Smile
