How the fuck are you guys wrecking logitech mouses every few months?!
My G500 only stated crapping out on my a few months back, six YEARS after I bought it.
Nearly pulled the trigger on a G502 earlier today but I decided to wait until the G500 goes all out or until I find a lower price than 60-65€

I bought a G502 a few months ago. The why: I wanted a mouse that would be well-suited for most games. I wasn't looking for the perfect mouse for a specific genre, just something that was good all-around. I'm quite happy so far, it's a big difference compared to my previous mouse, the logitech G5.

Button customisation, surface calibration, macros, sensitivity/polling rate settings, customisable liftoff range, lighting effects etc

After testing. Logitech MX500, MX518, G500, G5 with 7 buttons, G502 RGB, Mionix NAOS 7000, NAOS 8200, Mionix AVIOR 7000 & 8200, Mionix CASTOR, Qpad DX-20, Cooler Master Sentinel III, Razer Deathadder, SteelSeries Rival 100 etc..
This mouse feels the best in overral. Build quality is very good, wheel is silent and easy to use, precision is good without any angle snapping issues or such, physical size is just about right for my claw grip.
Give it a shot and I'm sure you will like it if the physical size is OK for your hand. |
Sounds like something worth it to consider if I need a new one. Seems to be slightly bigger and heavier than my G400 which is a good thing if you ask me and if you say it works with a claw grip then it could be good for me. |
It is definitely worth trying.

Logitech and the G502 for example.
I had to calibrate it first to my Razer Control mousepad. As at first the mouse cursor was jittering around like crazy.
Don't know which mouse has a customizable liftoff-distance setting. But that feature should be useful in graphical design for example, where you need to re-position the mouse physically, without changing the cursor position.

G900 Chaos Spectrum.
Why? Because I had the money and the G700s was causing my hand to cramp up after using it for half an hour.
I could have returned it within 7 days of playing it but I ended up playing Overwatch for 4 hours straight and didn't have a single sign of pain in my hand, almost like I was never using one so said fuck it and kept it.

I looked for a new mouse earlier this year and gave up I need something as wide as this G9x, but also as flat and it can't be heavy.
Well at least this has removable covers, so I can wash them "good as new". Absolutely nothing wrong with this and enough DPI for upcoming 4K resolution too. Only using 1400dpi now, so will be 2800dpi in 4K to keep movement speed same. Got to do another setting for 1440p, as won't have enough horsepower to most games in 4K.
Only thing "wrong" with this mouse is super heavy middle button, it will literally start hurting your finger if browsing with it, but I have side button mapped as middle button too and have used that always for opening new tabs.
Maybe I'll just use this until it breaks, so far have changed mouse always before earlier one did so, so got old Logitech G5 for backup already. Although won't ever go back to that shape, just doesn't fit my hand. G9x with wide grip is perfect fit, but I use the narrow one for Battlefield. More grippy and also makes mouse lighter.
Think only option would be to go with some R.A.T mouse, but I've read those things don't last and firmwares are buggy.
Just checked, bought this G9x in 28.11.2010, so 6 years of daily use soon and still with original teflon feet too (they are huge). So new mouse should last at least 3 years without any issues.

Yeah, will most likely be my next one as well.
Also for the same reasons, working in PS/IL.

Im using this for the past 4 years:
Pretty good.
EDIT: Besides nothing beats the look on a girls face when they approach my desk: "Is that a mouse?"
