5.4 ought to be wonderful then, they are implementing all sorts of changes plus it's planned to be the first Unity version with DX12 support so who knows how much that will mess things up.
(Plus the second phase of multi-threaded rendering support.)
They have a roadmap here although I don't think it includes the minor versions such as 5.2 to 5.2.1 and only covers major ones.
EDIT: Seems 5.3 has a number of known issues, I think the current latest version is 5.3.3 or maybe 5.3.4 but there's probably some issues remaining unfixed.
Could someone with the DLC please do me a favour and load my savegame to see if the DLC parts are working for them?
I'm currently just owning the base game and copied the latest DLCs files into my legit games folder.
But when i go to Crägholdt Bluffs, i can't speak to any NPCs and they also just stand still when i attack them.
Also some effects and textures seem to be missing, as they just show a pink texture.
The expansion-only files seem to just be some 20 MB each (Though consisting of a bit over 3000 files in total.) so it's possible you're missing some update to the base game adding the needed assets and other requirements.
EDIT: The Unity Engine "PillarsOfEternity_Data" folder consists of 29068 files (29069 I guess if you count the engine specific log.txt file.) weighing in at 15.1 GB.
@JBeckman
I just copied all the files from the isodemo DLC, which had the latest update applied to it to, to my legit install folder. I didn't overwrite any files though.
Thanks to @Steelone i found out that he doesn't have those problems with my savegame.
So i guess that method doesn't work for this game.
Is the DLC worth it though? I could get it for 5,9€.
I rather enjoyed the base game back then.

White March is very similar to Icewind Dale. In other words, it is very much focused on dungeon crawling, combat and encounters. I felt the story was quite minimal.
I personally enjoyed it quite a bit, because I thought the encounters were as a whole fairly well designed.
Was harder for me a bit, as the dragon was already flagged as enemy since I made a... certain choice. Most people recommend cheesing, paralyze/prone-locking and starting encounter with dragon as friendly.
Anyone else have a dialogue bug with Eder? I just got him and going through his dialogue, but most of his spoken lines start in the middle of the text and not from the beginning. Pretty weird.
Edit: bahh, found out that Obsidian doesn't know what's going on.
Follow Obsidian Entertainment's journey as they develop Pillars of Eternity, the fan-funded hit that helped propel the company out of dire straits.
Watch as developers such as Josh Sawyer (Game Director), Adam Brennecke (Executive Producer and Lead Programmer), and Feargus Urquhart (CEO) pull back the curtain on the Pillars of Eternity development and show you the highs and lows of creating a highly anticipated game.
Pretty cool video in general also to get a glimpse what happens behind the scenes of game development.
