They could add some actual long content with DLC I guess. The base of the "game" is good, they could build on it. Or they could start bullshitting about a sequel that actually has a storyline and adventure/RPG elements, why not?

No Man’s Sky – Patch 1.09 is now available, improves detection of available PC CPU cores
Quote:
Hello Games has released a new patch for No Man’s Sky. According to the changelog, this patch improves framerate when scanning colossal structures such as Space Stations or Outposts, improves various settings within the options menu, including advancements in mouse smoothing and refined gamma settings allowing for increased tenebrosity, and improves detection of available PC CPU cores.

Changelog: http://www.dsogaming.com/news/no-mans-sky-patch-1-09-is-now-available-improves-detection-of-available-pc-cpu-cores/

Laughing
How fucking hard must it be, to implement a trivial feature like that to detect the cores and their performance rating?

That's the kinda work that can be and probably is done by a single guy ...

Don't worry, the other 11 people in that studio are working hard on a "more diverse flora DLC" Smile

You lag far behind contemporary commercial habits, my friend. DLC IS the game!

LOL LOLLOLLOL

Quote:
"At its peak the day it launched, No Man’s Sky reached as high as 212k concurrent players on Steam. But within only its first week, the game lost 78% of its playerbase. And now, less than two months after its launch, things have only gotten worse for No Man’s Sky with the game dropping to under 1,000 players per hour and only peaking at 2,000 players per hour. That’s a 94% drop in just its first 42 days which has taken NMS from the #3 most played game on Steam to #132 today"

I wonder if they can use the procedurally generated mechanic as an excuse to get under from some of the accusations though. Still, it's fun to see the fanboys raging about this Twisted Evil
It would be even better if ubishit was next Surprised

The downfall of all things related NMS is amazing. I reaaally hope a lesson is learnt here for future developers and publishers.

I'm sorry to everyone who used the subreddit as intended but you are now in the majority. I'm sure you can find a different place to discuss this game. It's not hard. This was my decision and mine alone. The other moderators tried to sway my opinion but cynicism got the best of me as usual."

lol wut

How the fuck can there be any other type of discussion when everyone feels ripped off, the developer refuses to talk, nobody knows what's happening or if the game will even be supported any longer? Laughing

More proof that reddit is a cesspool of small dictators.

true that, sadly vast majority gamers are just not good consumers.. they will buy anything if it gets some hype.

Anyone who buys games that haven't shown actual gameplay or reviews aren't out ... are just retards. And they got separated from their money for an hour or two of gaming and many hours of whining Laughing

And not even refunding? Sean Murray deserves their money Very Happy

Thankfully a lot of people felt this was some kind of cover up on the subreddit.

In other news:

It was already pretty clear Murray is a cunt, but the latest news are just icing on the cake Laughing
