Fucking M$ donkey's The M$ Tech said games from the Win 10 store can only download to the boot drive????????? So that is why GOW4 is having problems with the download errors???????? Fuck-head!! I sent it to my boot drive and it still does the same thing...Just fix it...or make a call to STEAM and see how they do it!!!! Haha!

Although he could be right because I was able to download and play on my other PC which has one drive???

It can install to any drive (And you can further set a drive to where apps should be installed to by default.)

But regardless of that it also needs temporary space in wherever you have the windows folder for the download cache data. (Same size as the game so ~80 GB for this one.)

Also they just released a 400 MB update.

Enjoying the game though, a lot of fun in multiplayer.

What takes time isn't the download but how the app is being updated by essentially re-creating the full game from the modified data. Very Happy
(There's also a 80 GB cache dump in the Windows folder - "Delivery Optimization" data - , as with OS updates basically. - further reducing size but at least that will be cleaned up after some hours by Windows itself and the old version/folder of the game is also deleted.)

(But it takes a while depending on HDD speed for the process to re-create the game or how to call it, merge in the patched data and copy the files around and whatever else it does.)

Once it's done it'll delete the old folder (Or well, it should.) but yeah it's a bit behind say Steam which works by similarly using diff data and merging that to the existing files but without cloning the entire game first. Very Happy
(Also takes a lot of time depending on how the game is set up, something like the Total War games with a lot of files that are several GB each can take a bit of time to fully update whereas a game with a dedicated patch file or similar method can be much quicker.)

The kicker of all kickers!! The GOW4 is working again on my 1 hard drive PC but when the game opens it says.."Welcome to Early Access".... Scratch Head

I will say my shitty AMD/R7 370....8gig ram...AMD A8-7600 runs it pretty nice (lock 30 frames and medium settings...) "Can I run it" said I couldn't run it!!! Haha

Just bought from them, but after paying with Paypal the page returned to here

and now the discount isn't valid (applied before). Luckily Paypal didn't register the buy...

@Vikerness no it isn't. Maybe in UK but definitely not in the rest of EU. Price is 64,99€

My ssd (windows drive) is 120gb.
So only 25 left after gow4 installed. Can;t update there

Moved game to HDD and made more free space. Started update again and now it's building ANOTHER 80gb on that hdd where I moved the game... even thought I picked ssd as update destination.

GREAT. Now the codes I've got from Cdkeys produce errors. It looks like it's from M$ end, it says something about unknown error and some garbage text, but this is getting my nerves. They even gave me 5 extra DLC codes...

EDIT: 52€ and it works now, downloading Very Happy
I recommend to buy it there.

Well good luck with that! I am at my 5th download in 2 days because at the end of the 73.33 gigs the button on the store says error and when you click on it, it will re download the whole thing again. Been a loop since. There was a Microsoft store update I did about an hour ago. I'm trying to re download and see if it fails again. I should be done in 30 minutes or so.

The 5% code works only twice on a given account, and it disappears after PayPal login if you have already used it twice. I created a new account and paid 50.25€ with 5% off.
Also the code might produce errors on M$ side, this is due to their servers lagging. I insisted a couple of time and finally it worked.
