Bought it as well...played a little campaign and I must say I am impressed. Graphics are very nice, guns/gameplay feels pretty nice, sound & music is fantastic and the only negative thing for me are couple of game-breaking bugs (i.e. 1st mission near the end the tank got stuck between ledges, or I had to destroy some other tanks that weren't there) and you have to restart from check-point.
Haven't spent a lot of time in multi yet but I look forward to it!
p.s. In case anyone wan'ts to play sometime my id is, you guessed it, raven_g20
The fact that that's even a thing is fucking ridiculous beyond belief. They changed that rear gun from being completely worthless in the beta to completely decimating any aircraft even across the map (no damage falloff based on distance ).
The attack plane pilot can literally just fly straight and not evade a damn thing, and unless he's got ground AA shooting at him, the gunner will shred 2 or 3 other planes no problem.
Sometimes I wonder what kind of red helmet people they've got working at DICE.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

If you were to choose a version to buy today, the one with the biggest number of players would no doubt be the one to get.
Seriously, what the fuck is this shit?!?! Is this journalism or a moronic click bait written by someone who tries to tickle the ego of ignorant and clueless people?
Yep and that article completely ignores that both xbox and ps4 got new updated versions just before BF1 and there is version with bundled BF1. So a lot of people got BF1 for console free and guess they should just throw it in the trash and not pop it in (and boost console players numbers).
Bought that origin access so I can try the game. Glad I didn't buy it. I don't hate it but I also think it's nothing special. My favourite bf was vietnam and played that a ton with friends. This just lacks a lot.
There are a lot of weird bugs in the game, not really game-breaking but just annoying.
For example, I'm on the map and I pick someone I want to spawn on and click deploy...nothing happens for about 3 seconds and then something pops up and says I'm unable to spawn there and I have to click OK, can't do anything while it's trying to tell me I can't spawn there.
Or I spawn and I'm automatically already in a prone or crouched position and this makes it impossible for me to quickly tap sprint and run off, instead I have to tap jump for my char to stand and then I can tap sprint.
And these are just the start....
I saw the prone/crouched spawn too but to be honest I think it's by design! Because you don't want to spawn standing when your squadmate is prone and trying to stay away from enemy fire
The spawning system is a joke. The so called safe spawning (hinted in those tips) got me once in front of a firing squad. Once I spawned on 2 gas grenades. But the best remains when I spawned with the destroyed zeppelin 2 meters above my head.
There are numerous bugs and annoying gimmicky mechanics which I dislike.
I haven't noticed hackers, but there are enough op weapons not to mention the return of the mortar.
Never before in a Battlefield game I've been running like a madman (CoD style) destroying people with shotgun.
Which weapons would you consider OP then?
Personally I'm annoyed by the gas granades and that they have 2 of them and they last so long.
The mortar is also annoying at times.
But I wouldn't call them OP rather than an annoyance.
Yea so far I havent found any weapon to be OP, it's mostly just that people who recently started the game, are too inexperienced to deal with certain things and hence are whining about them.
It's the usual, nerf the weapon that kills me the most and boost the one I main.
So far, I find this version of the mortar to be the least annoying in a BF game because of how short its range is. It's stupid easy to catch whoever is using it.
I don't think I've seen a gun that was excellent at short/medium/long simultaneously the way some weapons did in the previous game. I've found weapons that cover 2 of the 3, but not 3 of the 3 like before.
The only thing I don't like about the balance so far is, like others, how much gas grenade spam is going on in the game. It often seems like one person using a gas grenades means everyone is using a gas grenade.
The spawning system is a joke. The so called safe spawning (hinted in those tips) got me once in front of a firing squad.
It only applies to flags. You want to spawn there and enemy is at the flag, it spawns you further. It doesn't look for enemies outside the flag, where you end up.
For the mortar, I see people complaining about it ingame chat (well I kinda helped and killed like 20 people with it). Mean while I was killed by mortar in the same operations once. If you camp, mortar kills you, if you move mortar won't hurt you.
Of course if you are arming/capping, then you are more likely to die without camping too. But for every 1 mortar death, think I die like 20-30 times to snipers.

That's not true, there are plenty horrible choke points where being killed by mortar has nothing to do with camping. Just take a look at Suez.

The mortar and gas grenade sure are annoying, but as for OP weapons, just take a look at the M10 shotgun. You don't have to wait in buildings or camp around corners, you can easily run and gun with that weapon (so much tactics!) because the game is so fast paced that allows this kind of play style.
The starting weapon for assault is also extremely powerful if you know how to use it. It spits bullets like there is no tomorrow.
But so far, what bothers me the most is how noobs friendly this franchise has become. You are a bad player? NO WORRIES! We give you the strongest thing possible so you can even the score. I hate losing a match that we were clearly winning because the enemy team has an airship/train/dreadnought, that's just downright lame. Even the score system is designed in such a fashion so you can lose at close scores. One team must be completely clueless to get a difference higher than 200-250 points. It's a great idea to reward bad players, after all, they bring the sales up, right?
