Now that the season is halfway done, what is the general consensus? Been out of touch about it.

1 and 2 are still amazing.

I haven't seen episode 5 yet, but - so far - this show has:

Compelling characters
Very strong acting
Fantastic music
Fantastic visuals
Interesting and promising plot
Excellent dialogue
Great action scenes
Amazing atmosphere

It's the best show for me in ages - and I'm glued to the screen every second.

However, it will all depend on the resolution - and if the "mystery" is actually real - and not some "Lost" bullshit that never leads anywhere.

To me, it has just the right momentum - where things are visibly moving forward at a very relaxed pace - but it could just as easily never lead to anything, which would ruin the show for me.

I absolutely hated Lost because of that - so I'm hoping this ain't it.

This shit is so good Very Happy

It was after episode 6 that the production went into hiatus for a few months while the writers ironed out the story. Hopefully the last four episodes benefitted from the break.

Classic quality series you'd expect from HBO (in other words, no True Blood Laughing )

You better watch the first episode and avoid spoiling a good thing about it related to the character he plays.

Anyway, another great one. Hopkins own pretty much every scene he's in.

Not sure about the direction it's going in. They're unveiling story archs half way through the season with no suggestion of moving in a direction which ties them up. It certainly feels very "Lost" like in that regard (albeit faster paced).

I'm all for the tits, but if you took away all of the naked bitches I'm not sure I'd think it's as good as other people.

Still, hopefully they'll continue with it at least as good as it is so far. It's not bad!

Nauseating overanalysis. Hopkins is great, but let's not pretend everything can be put into neat little perfect boxes because we can pause video and underline words.

I hope one of the next Film Music Festivals will feature this. Maybe a concert entirely made of Ramin's music? There were bits last year, from GoT.

I watched the movie RED 2 two days ago and in that, he was not *quite* as good. Especially the scene where he shot the people in the plane was pretty bad and felt like he was coasting through.
