I have mixed feelings about remaster.
It looks great and all but I am not getting that vibe from it.
Not sure why. Were some voices changed? Music?
Sound mix seems weird.
And performance is rather bad compared to Infinite Warfare... Jaggies everywhere and I can't get rid of them except going 4 times supersampling but it tanks to 30fps then.
Guess I will just download original then... and sweetfx it.
Same here. I don't know why, maybe nostalgia, but I remembered the game in a much better light. I'm still enjoying it, and it's a good remaster but something is off.
Huge issue near-end game situation. Can't see the ground nor some stuff.. Any fix?. RELOADED release. Ultra settings etc...

Just kill the dudes. Next room will be ok. This room will take You 2 minutes to go through. Not a big deal

Finished the game (RELOADED, again ofcourse)...This game was just created for the multiplayer and just that. The story is "an excuse" for content. They should stop making stories and focus on the fucking MP until they bring back something glorious like the MW games..
THE GOOD:
-Some graphics
-Framerate most of the time
-Realistic like faces sometimes again.
THE WORST:
-THE STORY, THE WORST OF THE SAGA
-Mixed HD graphics with LOW LOW QUALITY ONES like if they were taken out from DOOM 3 or something...FFS, Realistic faces with bad quality armors on ULTRA !!
-The plot itself, reminds me of an episode from an ol' cartoon called "Undergrads" that aired on Catalan TV but for once.. This one (oh boy how old is this shit?)
Score: No numbers this time. Evade like the plague, unless you're in for the Multiplayer, but that's up to ya.

OK I can confirm. Original cod4 is so much better !!!
Sure it looks simpler by today standards but there are few thing which stands out compared to original:
-it looks super sharp in comparison to instagram blur filter that is remaster without ssaa x4.
-it loads in 2 seconds
-it takes 6gb of hdd space and have almost just as good textures (but that is more of a statement about nowadays gaming)
-Remaster have some animations added in few places(like opening door) where original feels less hand holdy
-original handles WAY better! Mouse control feels legendary.
-Sound mixing is better in original.
-In remaster they seem to have changed some music and some voice acting. I prefer original atmosphere.
-Colors are better in original.
-shooting feels better in original alongside much better silenced gunshot sound. Now I know why it felt off in remaster.
And the list goes on... if someone just wants better graphical fidelity matching current standards, remaster sure delivers but other than that I think it's trash.
Original COD4 just have this raw pc game feel which we don't get for years now
oh and btw. Cod4 campaign is fucking legendary!!!

Infinite warfare was quite fun and very well made!
I even have much better performance in it than remaster
