I wonder how buggy the game will be, PoE was pretty much unplayable for quite some time

It wouldn't be an Obsidian game if it didn't have some nice bugs.

True, but there are bugs and then there are "obsidian bugs". The bugs present in PoE at launch were pretty damn rough to say the least

Just read the PCgamer review (Yes I know).

I really hope when he said "abrupt ending", it isn't Mankind Divided bad. Because that literally killed any positives I had of the game, I can't even see myself playing that game ever again.

Might continue with a dlc though. That's what you really want from a dlc isn't it? Not just side junk that doesn't matter.

A really sad snippet from the "PC" Gamer review.
Quote:
As good as the story can be at times, though, it also has a nasty habit of forcing me to make big decisions without understanding the implications (and then denying me a chance to change my mind).

As has been obvious for a long time, these people just want choices, not any consequences. No wonder Telltale games are so praised.

Sure to some extend, I just don't want to wait for a sequel game to properly conclude the story arc. I loved DAO had an expansion that continues from the main game, it didn't answer the biggest hook from the first game, but I feel I got a good end point for the first game with Witch Hunt.

But it's about how they handle the ending, not about post release story content. Witcher 2 had a good ending, fullfiling ending. We got to kill the people that were at fault, we confronted Letho and GOT different ways to handle the situation, we got to see how the world have now changed from what it was like at the start of 1 & 2. Characters introduced in the story all got their conclusions. And that is the key. Mankind Divided had none of this shit and that's what really pissed me off.

Anyway, I'm just hoping Tyranny won't pull this kind of nonsense.

That's when i hate choices like the plague. When i don't really understand the world or the character yet. And i'm left with stupidly many or big choices which leave me pretty damn indecisive. But i'm an old timer gamer and really prefer no choices at all. Give me a solid story and good gameplay and i'm set.

Telltale game: Press a or b, repeat. Telltale make interacrive novels/movies not games. They are exactly like those novels from the 80s where you write with a pen which choice you make: you chose a please turn to page 45.

Anyways how is this game compared to pillars? I could never get into POE due to: fandom writing (especially backroudns), boring combat (too many standard mobs), same enemies through the game.

75/100 - http://www.pcgamer.com/tyranny-review/

Quote:
Tyranny has fantastic ideas and its worldbuilding is unparalleled, but botches the execution, preventing it from all coming together to form a modern classic. When the story isn't pushing you to make specific decisions or bombarding you with repetitive combat, it feels like it could have rivalled the likes of Baldur's Gate 2 or Planescape: Torment. It's still worth playing, but Tyranny falls far short of the excellent standard set by Pillars of Eternity.

4/5 - http://www.hardcoregamer.com/2016/11/10/review-tyranny/234878/

Tyranny offers a unique RPG experience where the standard good vs evil format is turned on its side.

9/10 - http://www.gamewatcher.com/reviews/tyranny-review/12728

Quote:
Another fantastic game from Obsidian, the formula they have created from Pillars has served up another brilliant RPG for people to sink their teeth into for hours of Tyrannical enjoyment.

4.5/5 - https://gamerant.com/tyranny-review/

Quote:
Obsidian returns to the world of old-school RPG gaming with aplomb through Tyranny, a fantasy epic armed to the teeth with a plot of deception and intrigue.

Fantastic. Buy.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Yes raving reviews, ACG is really well done. But that was the same with POE. I wasted 50 euro in the drain, played less than 10 hours and then it was removed from my library. Don't want to waste money if it's simlar to POE Smile

lmao they seriously said that? yeebus. i guess they don't want to replay the game because that's boring. yep. all games should just be single run through experiences

Well going by the above "professional" reviews it's good but then again going by what's actually mentioned in them they're not always very "professional." at all.
