@Mythril

Having exactly the same problem here. I feel I still need time to adjust to the aiming in here. IF I play with a sniper or DMR (medic) rifle, things are somehow familiar, but once I switch to other guns/classes, it feels like a different kind of game altogether.

After BC2, BF3 and BF4, the aiming with most weapons in BF1 feels a lot different. Especially since my fav. weapons in those older games were DMRs and sniper rifles. Heck, even in BC2 I used A LOT the M1 Garand.

There's also a strong feeling that shooting mechanics have a faint Battlefront influence.

Apparently using melee on a gas grenade will stop it!
haven't tested it myself though.

Hm, good to know, will test that. Those green shits are annoying as hell. Girly players with pussy weapons use them often to their advantage.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who's experiencing this. I'll keep grinding at it but maybe with a machine gun

I think it's down to the way the gun is on the screen. Once I zoom into a player to hopefully kill, I'll loose sight of them very quickly. It's almost like the gun is taking up too much of the screen for me to see.

There is 1.25x default zoom on every weapon (can be changed per weapon) and there is another FOV zoom thingy default enabled, so even 1.0x is zoomed in. Disable the FOV zoom option (don't remember what it's called).

But if it's not the zoom that's messing you up, lower sensitivity ingame. Also use guns that don't block half of the screen (mainly issue with some support weapons Razz)

A possible fix for those who use the in-game drawfps command.

Go to origin
Right Click on Battlefield 1 and choose "Game Properties"
Click on "Advanced Launch Options"
In field that say's "Command line arguments" write this:
-PerfOverlay.DrawFps 1

really bored of BF1 already to be honest and i've only played a few hours, seen all the maps, played all operations.

Not including the BB gun damage bullshit, theres next to nothing to unlock for each class, wonky scoring , plenty of hackers (almost every match i've played has had fairfight bans) its far too fast paced for WW1, its like bf4 really, chokepoints with endless nade and automatic gun fire.

Honestly just feels like a reskinned bf4 with FAR LESS things/weapons to unlock.

My game breaking gameplay point which decides if I play a shooter or not, is this situation; If i see an enemy, completely have the drop on them and empty a mag into them for them to only turn around and 1 shot me. that's where I put the game down.

sadly this is BF1 (and all the previous titles ) all over

Isn't fairfight streaming messages across all servers for some reason? Sometimes there are ton of farifight bans but server remains full.

I played bf 4 a few hours before bf 1 the difference is night and day. Try playing bf 4 now it feels so dated.

To me bf 1 is the best bf by far, I disliked bf 4, bf 3 was decent.

Same here. I didn't like BF1 at first during beta but it grown on me and now it's my second most favorite in the franchise after BFBC2.

Charging melee kills in this give me Monty Python vibes sometimes...

Especially with horses - look at the range on this thing:

And then later in the same match, the game just pretty much decided to place me on some guys knife with that amazing revive:

I mean, I get why that happened, but it was quite disorienting nonetheless Very Happy

Just imagine if the real ww1 had BF1's horses, history would have taken a completely different turn, with the apathetic tanks and fragile airplanes being discontinued for manifest incompetence, and rural countries with strong equestrian backgrounds would still be ruling the world as we speak xD

Poland would have won World War 2? Wonder how that outcome would have looked.
(They had cavalry around then far as I remember atleast, Germany had some Panzer type tank things which I think were updated throughout almost the entire war since the other Tiger tank wasn't as easy to build and came into play later when Germany was already on the receiving end between Stalin and was it Eisenhower in the US? Plus Churchill and other parts of Europe too.)

EDIT: I guess the 1:1 replica of Hitlers penis (As he saw it at least.) as a cannon took it's toll on war costs too for Germany...

I don't care what people say, this game is utterly ruined for me by obvious aimbotting and poor netcode. I'm no means a good player, but even I know when one or two players are dominating, and killing me over and over, that something isn't quite right. Same for IW, there is just no fun right now it hoping that your shots actually count, and your opponent doesn't have ridiculous snap-aim.

Oh and jumping should be removed completely, it has never made sense and it still doesn't.

I must start recording the few matches I will play to see just how obvious it is.

I've played for 30 hours now and I can't feel I've encountered ONE cheater.

The only thing that is a pain in the ass is the lack of teamwork (0 teamwork actually) and I have no one to play with.

Is it even possible to play group up with 20 people if you're in a clan?
