Ah, Kotaku trying to be "different" again and beating everyone else in retard journalism.
Recommending a slim over a pro to save 100 fucking pounds?
The pro offers a huge improvement in just about every area over the og ps4, the damn slim is actually the overpriced one, it shouldnt be more than 200 now.
Just go fuck yourself Kotaku.
If you don’t have a PS4 and want one, get a Pro. Maybe wait for a Black Friday deal or something. It’s £100 more than a plain PS4 but it’s a more powerful system. It’ll support a 4K TV if you decide to get one, and in the meantime it’ll run some games better in 1080p.
If you already have a PS4 and don’t have a 4K TV, hold off. Sony has confirmed that the PS4 Pro won’t get any exclusives, which means that every game will have to run on both consoles. We’ll have a better idea of how many games will offer 1080p improvements in the months to come, and for now, the improvements just aren’t worth buying a whole new console.
If you own a 4K TV and really want to use it, sure, get a PS4 Pro. Even better if your TV has HDR. You already spent a ton of money on that massive screen in your living room, so you might as well spend some more to get a console that’ll take advantage of it.
Yeah some titles have problems, like Skyrim and TLOU, but I think all this needs is more optimizing..no big deal, Pro is still way more powerful than base PS4..and upcoming games are going to show that.
I've got the money to one side ..I only play football games these days due to gaming time so I will see what the pes patch has to offer otherwise I'll wait till next year
Thinking about grabbing a 4k monitor when I come back into town for my PS4 Pro. Don't want a TV right now until our house is fully built (putting a 4k Projector in the basement), but I do most of my gaming while coding at my desk so I would like to add another monitor. Any suggestions?
I would get a Sony 4K TV, then you don't even have to struggle with "gaming modes" and shit like that to lower input lag. A lot of larger TVs lately have have a problem with high input lag. TVs these days are PCs, so go figure
I'm planning to buy a PS4 (pro), I have a question. Is the difference as simple as: pro has better IQ with higher framerates? There are some really nice deals for the old PS4 and reading reviews of the PS4 pro the difference doesn't seem to be big (while the HW itself is considerably stronger). Could there be PS4 pro exclusive titles in the future for example?
