Yes I went from 60fps down to sometimes 40, it's really horrendous. |
Install 375.76 drivers and see if it's fixed. New drivers are bugged, but don't know your setup, so have to guess if that's it.
From my game settings only minimap size changed (it had some patch notes).

For me it runs smoother (less lag). Easier to hit people, but also noticed that it's easier for enemy snipers too and now it's almost instadeath open if standing still more than a second.
Mortar is completely useless now, support guns are a bit better (except only ok one BAR nerfed), but you'll always still die against assault. So I don't know if I'll ever play support again for long periods. Luckily hit rank 10 yesterday with it, so no need.
Sniper still OP from 50m-> Medic still sucks, minus one gun, but getting those 3 bullets out, before you are sniped.. ..yeah. So only usable class is assault and of course you ran out of bullets/die, because there are no support/medic players, just snipers and assaults  Oh well, next patch maybe.

@perf issues: i noticed dx12 was disabled for me after the patch.
Might want to check that setting in particular, as i also had the performance issues and it seems that was the cause.

It was always the main issue with BF hardcore modes. I honestly think they should leave damage as it is in "normal" and focus on other things, like spawning, 3D spotting, ammo, etc. It's easy enough to die in this game already.

I've tried hc rush but since you can't tell who's enemy if your not front facing them, I've died more times from tk than enemies...

The problem with hardcore mode in Battlefield 1 is that the game isn't built for it. The gameplay has been increased to provide more action for the masses and the hardcore mode is like the best way to see that.

This. If they just left the health/damage as is but removed all that other bullcrap then it would be way more fun. Now it's probably that EVERYONE is a sniper as you can 1shotkill anyone at any range with those things.

i honestly didnt notice that much of a difference, i had to friendly fire to check if it actually was HC. For me HC is a simple HUD, Ammo counter. Maybe a more "realistic" healing mechanic (but they seem to be unable to fix the current one and made it actually buggier with the patch, so scratch that).
I still got that damn performance issue, i get like 40fps dipping down to 20fps for 5-10 seconds on my i7 2600k@4ghz/gtx1070

So anyone else experiencing worse gfx (lower texture res for example) coupled with worse framerate, after the new update?
I get around 15 FPS less on average, whenever there is alot of shit going on, it can even tank down to 35 fps, which is ridiculous.
And no, I did not install the new nvidia driver yet, since I know its broken, but the game is already running like shit as it is.

I started tking in hc yesterday. When I see that my team is 50% snipers standing at the spawn while the attackers take telegraph after telegraph, I pull out my gun and headshot every single son of a bitch that stays on spawn. Felt good.

I don´t see why not, you´d have to disable it before logging into your paypal but aside from that, should work afaik.
