@Foobyte
You mentioned Career mode:
Is it complete already?
- And if yes, how is that mode build? Like you have a somewhat story from mission 1 till the end?
- Or is it just a collection of scenarios with each having their own story, separated from the other missions?
I don't remember! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I selected it from the menu once but never started it.
I'm on the fence of buying this, since it's actually not full price yet on Steam. And tomorrow it will.
I don't think other key sites will be much cheaper than €34,-.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
So far, its a LOT of fun.
haven't had this kind of fun since RCT3.
The building options are simply amazing.
The visuals I think are also amazing for it. Riding the coasters it looks stunning to me for it to be such a large overall scale game. Sort of like zooming into 1st person in city skylines, it looks good upclose despite designed mostly to be played in zoomed out scale.
But in comparison, they aren't truly in the same play style exactly. Its like comparing Cities XL to Cities Skylines.
While both are city builders, one is more the overall logistics of a city, the other is about the nuances and neighborhood and people of the cities.
These 2 are along the same lines. Parkitect is more a technical, 'overall' park management sim. Planet Coaster is more about designing an amazing park.
While it has most all the aspects of Parkitect, PC sucks you into more the nuances of the visual style, look, and flow/vibe of your park.
But if you wanted, you could just forego all that and parkitect it up and try to make as compact and money making park if you wanted.
You can spend a good hour decorating and tweaking the look and ambiance of a single ride and its decor here to get it 'just how you want'.
A great example, I've spent 3 hours making just the ENTRANCE to my park (not my first park, just my new and improved 'now I know what I'm doing park), no rides, nothing else yet in the park. Just the entrance.
Id say if you was a big RCT3 fan, this is a sure thing on if you would enjoy it.
here is a good example of what I mean of how it can suck you into designing the park so much that you sometimes forget to manage the park too

Does the game have climatic/weather effects? Or is it always sunny?

Its got day/night but no weather yet.
In one of the streams it was asked, they are planning to add it like RTC3 had, where people can buy umbrellas.

Yeah thats where I bought it from. Total 32 something, Anyhow they haven't delivered a code yet. They instantly responded to my email saying it can take up to 24h for this product. Usually we're sending out faster they said.
Still good deal, so I'm just waiting. Think they will send it today.

+ Reviews say its a legit site, so its prob fine.
lol! How is it a good deal??? It's cheaper on Steam! for TS Edition, and you can play now!
Anyway...
Beta Update 6
Oh yes, you read that right... another patch has been released fellow coaster fans! This update is about 2.3GB, so ready those internet-pipes.
Is there singleplayer campaign or only sandbox mode? And how it will fare on i5-3470, GF 970 and 8GB RAM?
There is Sandbox with unlimited money, a career mode and a challenge mode with scenarios if I'm not mistaken.
You'll be fine with your system but don't expect 60fps. Performance will drop as you add coasters and more guests are coming. There are many graphical options though so you will find a medium.

It might sound counterintuitive, but Challenge mode is more like a traditional Career mode than the actual Career mode, which is actually Scenarios. Confused?
Challenge starts you with a blank slate, with a choice of difficulty, which decides your starting cash, and what rides you start with. You get achievements as you go with cash bonuses for some.
Scenarios start off with a park that needs fixing in some way. I forget if RCT2 had this. Once you reach a certain achievement, you can move on to another park, I saw 2 available and 2 locked.
Sandbox is where you have unlimited everything, with all rides and stalls available, and infinite cash. Best used to design blueprints.
Challenge is where you'll probably end up most of the time.
