Oculus Touch is the best VR controller made to date. Period.

Its design is as close to perfect as we’ve seen and Touch has enough software between Oculus Home and Steam to keep you captivated for months. It performs perfectly in recommended setup conditions, and its finger controls should be a standard-setting innovation for the rest of the industry.

Touch is a major step forward for VR hardware and we wouldn’t be surprised to see its basic construction and key features built upon by competitors and future Oculus iterations for years to come.

Got mine yesterday. They felt a little weird for a while, but that soon passed and they are awesome. Much more natural than the vive wands, being able to point, pinch, thumbs up and grab feels great.

Ok got my Touch thingies ... holly sweet Jeeeeeezuss !!!
these things are marvelous Shocked

Dat setup was a hell of a fun and really quick n'easy.
I tried VR Sport challenge and I really had a lot of fun. Very Happy

I feared I would regret to not have switched to the Vive, now it is the other way around.
These controllers are a nice bit ahead of Vive's ones, are really well shaped and smell quality.

I am still amazed how they achieved to represent index and thumbs finger position so well.
During setup the thing even detect exactly on which button your thumb are positioned Shocked
But how ???

This is just ... So Much Win

EDIT : Holly shit Bullet train !!!! OO
Had fun with Valve's The Lab as well, and now I even understand better why Vive's users kept saying Oculus was crap because of the lack of VR controllers.
Oh yeah baby, they were damn right, now this is what I call VR entertainment.
Really a shame these VR Touch weren't on time for the Rift launch in the first place...

Ok I can confirm Touch controllers are rock solid ...

My son hit the table (hard) and it is still working like a charm.
Then my daughter hit (hard but by accident) my son's in the face, right in the nose ... and it is still working (the Touch, don't know about son's nose for now)

My daughter also pointed out it is nice to have the hand "shielded" by the Touch's arc, because she barely felt something when she punched the poor boy Very Happy

@shole Looks fun, will grab it on sale, thx.

In the mean time I played Hot dogs, Horseshoes, & Hand Grenades : http://store.steampowered.com/app/450540/

a must have if you like guns, and it works perfectly with Rift & Touch.
Developers are also really active and a bunch of nice guys.

Also, Valve have just updated Steam VR to fully support the Touch (remapping some button, haptics, georgeous Touch 3D controllers models, ...).
I will miss those Vive 3D models, they looked fun. ^^

Finally got the funds to buy this + Touch Should get here next week.

I looked at the Vive as well but i have to say the Touch controllers does seem better, and controllers are really important.

Which games should i get? I have Subnautica already which seems pretty great.

Oculus really fucked up with the sensors.

I mean the front facing tracking is great, but when you try 360 the range it lacks really hits it hard.

Playing Onwards and seeing how hard it is to get it ready without losing track is painful, i can play but it fails a lot. (ive tried a LOT of sensor heights, angles, positions, placements you name it, supported by the feedback from desk scene)

Knowing the vive uses 2 sensors and has no problems (almost) really makes it clear that oculus fucked it up by not using lasers.

Even having 3 sensors is supposed to still give tracking loss. :\

Oh well. I can still play 360, but fine aiming like in onward makes it really lack compared to the vive.

Wish i could test the vive now Razz

What size room are you playing in?

I have a 3 sensor setup, all up high pointing towards centre of the room and have not had a single loss of tracking.

Neither had i, until i played onward Razz where you have to put both hands as in aiming down the sights, there you lose it, a LOT.

I only have two sensors, im 6'2'', they are at least 2 feet above my head, pointing downwards, one in front of me one in the back (corners, tried it, its the same thing as i turn around, i went closer to get more interlacing), the box well i dont have a tape to meassure right now but its small, both sensors are close into the box, using desk scene im getting maximun interlacing of both sensors without losing range for extending my hands around, i dont move, i only turn.

People still complain with 3 sensors in onwwards. And thats where im getting at, had oculus used something like lighthouse, this would be the best solution as far as i can see.
