Usually you have to wander around and then you'll eventually find clues such as a burning building or a conversation or just getting a call from some other supportive character.
("Stumble upon" or how to say, especially true to checkpoints, towers, mines and tank hunting stuff.)

For the DLC crime-season stories those start a bit later when you can access one of the additional areas in the police building. Smile

It's actually dirt cheap to just buy. Worth the few € you'd pay for it.

CPY release is pre patch, so it's not really working well. They fixed a lot of things with patches, so I'd say it is worth money that it is now.

Ok got this on bundle stars and... Its great!
First of all, it looks amazing. Seriously, this is a great looking game.

Played only 2 hours so far but the game have great engaging mechanics around batmobile which I utterly love... and there is tumbler skin Me Gusta
Everyone complains about batmobile stuff in this game but so far, just driving it around is fucking awesome. The destruction it causes is something else.
I am not big on side missions and only did 1 stupid riddler race and won't do any more of those.

the game also runs fine 60fps maxed with all gameworks enabled and this is the best smoke I've seen in a video game.

I really loved Arkham Asylum and kinda disliked all other batman games. For now, this one is at least enjoyable and looks great.

You'll probably be a little bit disappointed, but not as disappointed as the guys who legitimately went 100% Riddler completion to see it. Very Happy

There are only three Riddler races in the entire game. During my 40+ hour 100% playthrough, I spent roughly 15 minutes racing them.

I've got the game + all dlc from bundle stars for 13 euro or something like that.

Ok finished main story with almost no side content. 16 hours and thats what the game should be + free roam afterwards.
They were showing the god damn side content, fucking riddler(oh god) and everything they had every step of the way. There is like thousand side activities, missions and so on.
It's not that this content is bad by any means. It's ok but the story is so tight and tense, that any step sideways would break me away from it. There should be a mode to play main story without distractions. But maybe it's just me because I never like side activities in open world games.
So the only complaint is not that there is so much side content but more the way they are presenting it. it is great stuff to do for those who finished the game and want more activities to keep playing.

Anyway, I though that game is fantastic. It's just a "perfect" game in a sense. Long, incredible (!!!) graphics, very engaging(although a bit predictable some might say) story, awful lot of gadgets, moves and mechanics to play around with. main story was very varied. They could easily make few games out of this. It is so packed.
I was never a fan of batman combat but I just played on easy from half way through and got my Batman power fantasy without frustration. It's good and deep combat but I was more drawn to other parts of the game than to bother with fistfights too much.

My favorite part of this game, is the one hated by most - the Batmobile. Holy crap this never got boring or tiresome. It was awesome to drive, fight with and it sounded awesome. The destruction this thing causes when driving around is just something I've not seen in any game. batmobile breaks everything on it's way and behaves very satisfyingly thanks to very good physics. And that smoke. I know its nvidia only feature but holy crap is that a nice feature.
And I have no idea how they programmed this thing. no matter where You are - in air, on the street, falling somewhere, the batmobile button summons the thing roaring from next alley and batman jumps into it. No jank, no open world clunk or anything like that. This is a solid game done with quality of short linear game but extended to open world with huge amount of content. How do they even do this.

I don't want to spoil too much, but the way city changes in second part of the main story looks just incredible. WOW !

And I probably wont do much side content after finishing the main story, but it unlocks ability to drive tumbler model of the batmobile and its exactly as in 2008 movie. holy shit it's like driving tank which explodes when changing between gears Very Happy

And the ending (at least the main one. Hve not seen 100% ending yet) is surprisingly good ! Not sure why it got complains so much. It ended well. Just as trilogy should end. Maybe secret ending breaks it? In that case, I don't want too see it.

So all in all it's a super solid game which maybe I had way too low expectations and was collecting my jaw from the floor for past 16 hours for that reason. Dunno.
Oh and the infamus pc port is now great. Game runs flawlessly. I am actually surprised how good it runs. graphics are so detailed, with so many special effects and physics objects to destroy, that it's crazy this thing is not dropping 60fps maxed out. Oh... and did I mentioned rain effects and water? man...

Excellent. They fixed up version runs surprisingly well and is my favourite Arkham game. Glad it's been cracked seeing as how owners of the Arkham series got stiffed when WB gave out their apology games.

When i played through this a few months ago, i had several slowdowns with my 970 on most settings maxed.
Especially in the last part of the city drops to ~40ps were not uncommon.

Do you still have saves of these parts? I haven't progressed far,I got bored. I wanna test these demanding scenes.

On the bright side, they're speeding up the process a bit. *it's something* Xmas Grin

Ironically I started playing the legit game just a few days ago, think I'll just copy over the DLC contents and make my own ghetto complete version. Laughing

from what I recall, the demanding stuff in the game is the nvidia smoke, and driving/high speed gliding is very CPU heavy and caused slowdowns/stutters for people. This was the game that made me upgrade to win10, and my issues with the game stopped right after that.

The actual in game benchmark, at least in my experience was no reflection of the game performance.

just grab the full save and drive and glide across the whole city. if you don't get slowdowns when doing that, then you aren't gonna have issues in any parts of the game.
