THOSE FACES! |
Fixed in mods though.. i had no problem with them after modding it.
Oblivion is actually the only TES game i have finished.. Skyrim and Morrowind, not even close | Ewwwww... what kind of weirdo mutant are you?

It's like you sacrificed your precious gaming self to save other people's entertainment factor, the hero that Tamriel deserves
For me it was the opposite, with Oblivion being the only Scroll that I found difficult to digest. Oscuro made it easier to do so, but it took Nehrim to genuinely make me a happy panda (probably because it didn't feel like Oblivion anymore).
I've never had first-hand experience with modding though, too lazy and unskilled to do anything worthwhile. I only like to spend hours installing them along with the traditional cursing when they throw me random crashes..still a beautiful experience in its own way

Bit more eyecandy for you to enjoy ( a reshade i'm "working" on), managing 60 fps still on a 1070 @ 2560x1080 with this on (no ENB). Also focusing on making it look as good as possible (in my vision anyway, while maintaining playability (no super dark crappy unplayable preset for dungeons/caves etc)
Warning: NSFW (no nudity, just skyrim pr0n). Hoep u liek

Looks rather bad, sorry.
It looks like you took the shots with a camera from your monitor.

It's not an ENB, it's reshade with way less performance hit compared to ENB (even the current 3.10 which lacks a ton of effects like imagebasedlighting and other things). Also not sure what you're finding ugly without going more into details, lotsa people are liking the sshots (on nexus and reddit). If it's just a general case of "not liking pp filters" + CA, then i guess
I agree NLA is one of the few good ENBs (for Oldrim) but you can't have anything like NLA in SE due to the lack of proper ENB effects supported atm.
I also personally hate how every single ENB (with a very few exceptions) are unplayable in caves/dungeons/nights without torches and whatnot. Sure you can tweak them somewhat but still won't look right.

A few more shots, cause... i'm loving this Painterly ENB and can't get back to "realistic" ones. This one just oozes atmosphere imo...
Tweaked the colors/light intensity etc from the ENB parameters a lil'bit to my liking.

That looks really good. Makes me think of a higher quality version of the artstyle Nintendo went for in Zelda: Skyward sword.
Definitely something I'll use in a future playthrough.

It's almost 0 in the middle, gets worse to the sides of the screen in peripheral view.
On the subject of CA though and many other PP filters, i really don't get it.
I see people :
- dropping 4k texture packs that are as sharp as possible with insane contrast
- ENBs or Reshades that sharpen things to the high heavens and beyond, also add more contrast cause RL has black as fuck shadows and super bright spots like the sun descended on their heads.
And going like.. oh yeaaaaah nieeeeeeeec...so realistic.
When in order to imitate a painting (in this case) or photorealism (in other cases) you need imperfections (that's ofcourse if you want to see it as you see it in movies or other places, so through a camera).
And back on the CA topic, i really dont get what bothers people. In the shots above you can barely notice it to the sides of the screen, not in the middle. Yeah sure if you crank it up to insane levels to actually notice the red/green edges easily, that's bad. But otherwise? Seems to me like the general "CA is bad cause crappy console filters, ALL CA IS BAD GUYS, EVEN 0.1 FUCK CA IT"S THE DEVIL'.. sorry what?

I hate CA. It's flaw of optics and I don't get why would anyone try to add it to picture intentionally.
Use of CA in painterly preset is even worse, because no artist would paint a picture with CA.

Never said they would use CA for a painting. I only mentioned imperfections, the discussion about CA was in general and separate from this. My reply format might have misled you.
Either way, i still don't see what's some peoples issue with CA as long as it's not exaggerated.
You can turn it off anyway.

Really liked that, it could look even better with textures and possibly meshes that are made to look their best with that ENB.

What i find most interesting is the part where with a normal ENB i'd be like.. oh that looks nice, great ok.. then 20-30 mins later i'd be bored of the look and try another.
This one i actually played for hours and i still find almost every new scenery / daytime mesmerizing.
Anyway only issue i have with it is the dusk/dawn period (like 5 am-8am / 8pm-10 pm or something), which i cant control from the enb because it still counts it as daytime. Basically if i alter daytime so those look better, daytime then looks too bright or something like that.
Iirc the ENB's from oldrim had separate controls for dusk/dawn.

Playing this for the first time and was wondering how i should allocate my 3 stats for a jack of all trades as id like to give everything a try. Im on a few lvls in and have been spreading them evenly thus far which is probably a bad thing to keep doing.
Thanks.
