well thats just stupid, i dont think anyone considers committing crimes as 'working'...
It depends on a crime. Mugging an old lady? Yup, not "working".
Getting ready for a heist that requires serious planning, funding, skills, etc etc? In my book it certainly qualifies as "working", same as,say, being a professional hitman
Lol, romanian people is butthurt now because Jeremy stereotyped the romanians working in UK.
If you're butt hurt about a joke like that, feel free to fuck off back to your own country. How in hell have we evolved in a world where foreigners can come to your country, criticize everything about you, mock you on TV and get away with it, but dare to say anything slightly negative about them and they're in uproar and the media actually gives them a voice? Really? And people are still shocked Trump won?
Can't say I like it as much as Top Gear before... some of it just feels too forced. Hammond seems to do his derpy voice too much, May feels a bit off,... Hope it's just them needing to find their place. We'll see I guess.

I agree, it's a bit inconsistent so far. There are amusing sparks of brilliance and some nice throwbacks, but the show hasn't found its own solid identity yet and sometimes tends to drag. *soon* Hopefully
It's more like The Grand Clarkson (not necessarily a bad thing mind you, he's a lovable cunt xD)
That said, I think this one finally almost had it right with their challenge thing, it wasn't as stupid as the military one, but it needed less comedy and more challenge. I wonder if we'll ever get to see another proper challenge again from these guys, like Bolivia, Botswana, Vietnam, or cheap car challenges...
oh god that bit with the scales and weighing the car was hilarious... that really is what I came to see.. the boys arsing around and making a right mess of things
i hope it continues in the same vein.
sadly, the 'tent' bits still seem to be the weakest bit. Their humor (writing) needs to be better so they arent having to rely on that stupid laugh track.
Being Finnish, I enjoyed Räikkönen getting dead drunk ...The Le Mans film was one of the best this season! Still thinking, that too much talk...too little cars...but hopefully its getting better! Or at least, more interesting cars
well ep 6 was sadly a step backwards, though i certainly appreciated the le mans sequence the episode ended on... it was super interesting.
Spot on. Except for Le Mans bit, it was a step backwards from episode 5, which was the best so far in my opinion. Too much nonsensical dialog, unfunny jokes and scripted laughs. What is has to do with cars?!
well i was sick of it from day one, but youre right about the tent stuff... it just feels off. They always managed to make the 'live' stuff one of the best bits of top gear, but here it just doesnt feel right... it isnt engaging, and feels a little.. unnatural... time to ditch the desk i think, just have them sitting around on comfy chairs again, talking shit to each other.. who cares about being able to see the backdrop out the window.
well, im not going to watch the trailer, but am a little concerned it looks like hes sitting in a specialised buggy... and its probably not going to be a 'buy a bunch of shit cars and have an adventure' kinda deal... but still.. we can hope at least something interesting happens i guess...
44 minutes, so it will end up 1.5 hour total like all their specials.
The episode was good though, but some parts felt a bit obviously scripted. And that bit where they redict what one of them will say only for it to occur in the next scene gets kinda old, was fun the first time but it seems a bit scripted now.
That part where hammond went over the edge in his buggy though, that reaction from Clarkson truly seemed genuine.
Doesn't come close to beating the polar special yet though.
Even though it is indeed more choreographic than real, I still loved it. The good direction and the banter alone are enough to greatly amuse me no matter what
to me it wasnt all that interesting.. i try and think back, and they literally didnt accomplish anything... there were no exciting things to overcome, just a couple of breakdowns, where the others went 'cya' and drove off, as is standard procedure....
I compare it to their greats... bolivia, botswana, middle east, vietnam... it doesnt even come close. To me this is on par with patagonia. Even their truck one was more interesting than this.
They need to go on an adventure, not just drive across a place followed by a couple dozen people following them to film it.
maybe part 2 will be more interesting. please let it be more interesting.
i just wish they hadnt done custom-bult beach buggies... theres just nothing interesting about them... Thats one of the neat things about their adventures, the second hand cars they pick become characters themselves, as the three get used to them, find their problems, and hopefully ultimately triumph with them. If only theyd have done it like the amphibious vehicle challenge, where you could TELL theyd just taken some cars and roughly converted them... THEN this would have been interesting, but no.. you can clearly tell these are professional custom-made buggies, and it just doesnt intrigue me in the same way
also, it just killed me seeing them 'adventuring over a desolate landscape', following tire treads where either they themselves in previous takes, or their convoy of support trucks, have already gone

i dont want them to, thats the point, i want them to look back on what made their ORIGINALS so great. I know its just personal opinion, and theyre making the show that they want to make and thats fine, im just saying to me theyve lost a bit of their magic touch.
that said, id love to see the three guys try and reinvent the wheel
