I picked up:
Reigns - Bought it cuz it was cheap, really enjoying it
SteamWorld Heist - Most expensive game I bought so far, solid game great atmosphere
Fox & Flock - Super cheap, sold the cards for more than the game costs
Shardlight - Always enjoy WadJet Eye games
Tales of Symphonia - I keep buying but never playing these kind of games.. cheap anyway.
I have made more than 20% of what I spent back in card sales.

Then there's times where the entire list was "last online 37 minutes ago" or some other exact number for everyone.
Silly Steam. |
Have that too more too often.
The "last online" feature of Steam is some shitty barely-functioning feature.

Probably the first sale where I won't buy anything. Sick of wasting money and then going back to Heroes of the Storm.

Last year was boring as well. I have all of the old games I need, which is primarily the group of games getting the 60-90% treatment.

Does anyone here use Steam Link and the controller? It's 54 euros right now. It would be nice to play some games on the couch in front of the TV and the Steam controller seems to be of good quality. Any comments?

I have been using both for over a year.
I only occasional use the Steam Link but it works very well.
The Steam Controller is my everyday controller. It is light weight, but does not feel cheap. It took getting used to but now using the right pad is second nature and I like much better than using a stick.

I love my Steam link, just using an xbox360 pad or PS3 controller with it though. Mostly using it for Emulators. The misses sometimes plays her steam games on there and I also use it to stream some F1 to the telly. All working great.
Easy to setup but I would only recommend one if you have wired connection. Too much connection drops with wireless and the colours can be washed out. Some games (rocket leageue for example) perform shitty on wireless.

Silly Steam. |
He went invisible. I'm not 100% on the exact workings of it, but once someone goes invisible their "last online ago" time is either set to something random or to the last time the person truly went offline. I guess anti snooping/stalking measures?
And when the entire list is "last online ago" the exact same time it's because you had a interruption to your connection to steam. Everyones "last online" time will reset to the moment you lost connection, everyone who is not online again after you reconnect (went offline during your connection loss, or was offline the whole time) will now say they have all been offline for the exact same amount of time.
Restarting steam will 'correct' the latter.

Voted for Bioshock.
Still keep thinking about that story twist just before he wanted to lick his daughter.

Another early-access game gets cancelled.

John Smedley's Hero's Song cancelled, Pixelmage Games shut down
The former Sony Online Entertainment and Daybreak Games president John Smedley set up indie outfit Pixelmage Games in January, before launching a Kickstarter for its debut project Hero's Song—a "2D pixel art action RPG." This was then cancelled after falling well short of its crowdfunding target, but independent investment saw it eventually arrive on Steam's Early Access initiative in November. As a result of poor sales, Hero's Song has now been shuttered and Pixelmage Games will now disband.
On behalf of the Pixelmage team, Smedley took to the studio's site to break the news:
"It's with a heavy heart that I have to report that Pixelmage Games is going to be shutting down and we have ceased development on Hero's Song. For the last year, our team has worked tirelessly to make the game we've dreamed about making, and with your support, and the support of our investors, we were able to get the game into Early Access. Unfortunately sales fell short of what we needed to continue development. We knew going in that most startups don't make it, and as an indie game studio we hoped we would be the exception to that rule, but as it turned out we weren't.
"We sincerely value our customers. You’re our most important focus and have been from day one. We’re going to offer 100% refunds to all of the people who bought Hero’s Song."
The post then details how players who acquired Hero's Song via both Indiegogo and Steam should go about said refunds, before concluding with a message of thanks.
It continues: "Thank you for all the support you showed us. We're sorry things worked out the way they did, but we feel strongly that we gave it our all and we're proud of how far we came with the game. The fact that we weren't able to finish the game is painful, but the journey of making Hero's Song has been a great experience for us and we’re just sorry we couldn’t take it all the way."

no surprise ... the Early access was in way too early development stage ... and the plans way too ambitious ... at least everyone gets a refund
