Since I'm not following any particular review or hardware tech sites I'm probably missing something although I do know that in general the "quality" of certain reviews or even reviewers have been a bit questionable in several cases though that's across the entire computer industry though gaming in particular stands out a bit.
(Some "tech" sites do too though copy/pasting articles from unreliable sources without any background checking at all, nothing new really but it's gotten even more common lately from what I've understood.)

Then again at least as far as gaming is concerned it's probably more to build up hype and pre-release anticipation for a game these day's giving some semi-famous Youtuber early access so they can act like idio..err stream and showcase the game live to a wider audience.
(The way these various events, shows and such have been the last couple of years also point to that I guess though then again the early years with so called "booth babes" were also used to draw attraction and hype to games.)

EDIT:
Eh what do I know, suffice to say things have changed a lot in just these last few years both on console and PC and for both hardware and software.

Ok, I'm in love.

Love the setting, animations, camera, control, PC settings are... PC, it's a great 'port', can't wait to play the SP game.

Kinda surprised about the bolded one
animations in combat is nice but the chars still have that assasinscreed-esque run animation
Camera is the weird one , they managed to make it even more vomit-inducing and nauseous than in previous alpha

Nothing important was improved from the previous Alpha. The combat still sux when you fight more than one target, the graphics are as colorful as always and the UI is a mess.

Looks like Eurogamer wasn`t very impressed by their single player campaign.

I guess you could describe For Honor's single-player campaign as a training ground for the main event. A place to get to grips with each of the game's heroes and their distinct fighting styles, without the pressures of competition and voice chat. You could make that argument. But gosh, it's a boring place to be.

This is a campaign that feels like an afterthought, an effort to justify the game's AAA price tag. The story is entirely inconsequential - one mission has you slaying fellow Vikings to reclaim four barrels of potatoes, for example - and after 30 minutes playtime, I'm not convinced there's much more to these characters outside of their passion for fighting and stabbing folk. I've already had my fill.

Nothing too surprising there really.

Aaaand there goes my interest for the game.
As i have no real interest in the multiplayer, just had for the singleplayer.

The first time I saw the a gameplay video for this game, it was a deja-vu of the training segment from AssCreed Unity. I really like that part of the game. Smile

Yeah, camera can be weird when fighting multiple enemies, indeed, but it's a challenge that I am willing to accept.

i guess that might be just my eyes and stomach ... for some reason i can play Redout on Vive for 30 minutes with just small headspinning , but 10 minutes of combat in FH just makes me Vomit Confused

At least now when its "always online" even for story, i lost all the interest even without this nausse

No surprise there. Game was obviously MP only from the ground up. Only after internet outrage they decided to scramble something within last few months of development. Which at the end, is not gonna be good regardless.

@prudislav

Eh, what "story"... ?! Sad

Souds like the SP it's the typical 'glorified' tutorial and the MP is too niche (IMO!) to gain popularity and ensure good sales.

No idea who's running the show there, at Ubilol, but they show once again that it's not the player that counts, but the numbers. It's just like Geralt said, straight to their faces: they never learn.

It's really a shame. I like the premise (a LOT!) and was hoping the SP would complete the great first impressions I had. But, like I said... silly ol' me. No wonder we make more and more skepticism our greatest friend.

Well, decent game. Kinda unnecessary complicated IMO. I really wanted something with the combat of War of the Roses but For Honor feels more exhausting than fun to me. Also when I tried to uninstall it, found out the exe was still running and taking PC resources and I needed to end it from Task Manager... Not sure if it stays always when I quit it before. The last time I played the game hanged out and had to ALT+F4 it. I recommend anyone who has the game to check if the game is still not running when you quit it.

Would like some more opinions on the Singleplayer. As to me it seems like it has a real story to it, and the singleplayer doesn't look like some afterthought feature.

I've been told some of the classes they are testing aren't in the game as male/female, either male or female. So if you like a class, I guess you are stuck with the gender they've selected for that class. Perhaps that's subject to change, who tf knows.

Guess it depends on where they're going with it, and today's political influence on gaming. Razz

Realistic would make it a bit difficult for female samurai far as I'm aware and Kunoichi ("ninja") is more fantasy...Geisha would probably get a backlash of "sexism" too. Razz
(Bit unsure about vikings actually, valkyrie is definitively fantasy though there's stories of so called shield maidens though I don't know, naked crazed "berserkers" / "bare-sarks" were more Germanic far as I'm aware too, supposedly pretty effective too or at least disciplined going by various reports. Very Happy )

Far as knights go I doubt even squires were regularly female then again for "correctness" I guess they'll make certain changes.
(So yeah male Valkyrie and Geisha, chain-mail mankini and everything. Razz )

EDIT: Hell back during the medieval period even the female roles in theater were apparently played by men.
(Theater wasn't a very glamorous line of work either if I remember history correctly.)

There's nothing realistic nor authentic about this game, I couldn't care less if they have native Africans as Samurais and three armed mutants as Vikings. I mean, this is pretty much like 300, fantasy based on romanticized history.

Dead on PC confirmed.

"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

I was thinking of something like Jeane of the ark or well I can forget ever spelling that correctly.

If they based it on her though (With extra violence added on.) the games ending would probably offend someone and they can't have that.
(Not like e.g William Wallace fared any better - he might have had it worse actually multi-part execution and all that. - but still.)

Have to look up who this particular woman was though but there is some resemblance.
(Besides the plate armor I mean. Very Happy )
(At least the one in the image above did it properly, taking "breast-plate" literally tends to make it worse in terms of protection at least from my understanding of it...)

EDIT: Ah there is something about female knights.
http://www.heraldica.org/topics/orders/wom-kn.htm

A bit less about the whole "warlord" part though...

EDIT: Ah here we go.
