LA LA Land.. 8/10.... cute and enjoyable. Liked the classic Hollywood feel set in the modern era.

Question to you la la landers...
As a person who absolutely hates musicals is the film still worthwhile to see if I'd be skipping through those annoying dancy singy bits?

There is only limited amount of singing and dancing.. you should be fine.

Don't run out the first five minutes, after that it's all good.

JL Dark - 4/10
Terribad - board threw out
Dr Strange DVD Screener - 6/10
First 3 minutes the CGI looked horrid.
When the ancient jumped from building a to building b... looked horrible. The rest of the movie... stunning visuals... but i don't see how it deserves an oscar nom...

At the end of the tunnel (2016)
7+/10
Good acting and suspense but the script has too many flaws..
1) Lenovo Legion 7 (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3080 16Gb, 32Gb DDR4, SSD 1TB +2TB
2) SFFPC (streaming via Moonlight+ Sunshine)

Arrival 6/10
It felt like a Little story about an epic event. Making lt a footnote
Spoiler: | The WTF moments like; riots, military fanatics both in Us and the cartoon from China (will let the 18h visiting hours gap, pass for drama purpose) break the story to much |
and why?
Spoiler: | the aliens knowing the future could not just send a fax everywhere and brainwash the all 7 billion without the drama. |

Well the reverse.
some of the background comps
the most impressive thing was the end battle.

Thanks, going to give the screener a chance then. Probably saw worse movies over the past weeks so might as well give it a go.

Doctor Strange 5.5/10
Typical superhero bullshit - and I tend to call them Iron Man #X - because they're all essentially the same film.
No idea why they keep using Mads Mikkelsen in these movies - as the guy has the charisma of a rock, except for his unique facial features. He's a masterful actor in Denmark - but he generally sucks in Hollywood movies, mostly because he struggles with the basics (words).
That said, it had some neat visual effects - and I enjoyed the ridiculousness of the plot.

La La Land - /10
Yeah... fuck musicals.
Story was semi interesting I guess... but who cares when they pull you out of it with silly song&dance so often. Couldn't reach the middle of the movie.
For some positives: It was nicely shot, great set/costumes, Emma Stone's performance was better than I expect from her.
Let's hope this doesn't spawn a wave of shitty musicals... just give it all the oscars it's baiting for and forget it.

Maybe I am a faggot, but currently I would rather watch a wave of musicals than one more superhero movie.

I'd rather have both fuck off. And I definitely don't want more waves... since it will just be mediocre crap whatever genre is the new hype.

Generally I don't like musicals but I did like Repo! The Genetic Opera , it was pretty OK. And Sweeney Todd. The Phantom of the Opera was great.. There are prolly some others I can't remember..Sadly Les Miserables was atrocious when it came to actual singing( Russell Crowe, Seriously?)..

They are taking this to feminist fantasy extreme,WTF happened to Leon and Chris?
And Albert Wasker was completely ruined in this film.

Dr. Strange - 7.5/10
Pope Benedictus Cabbagepatch is terrific, so are the special effects, there are some trippy sequences that are the closest I've ever come to experiencing LSD hallucinations.
Definitely looking forward to more Dr. Strange.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

^^^^^ yeah but that first sequence where the ancient one jumps from building to building it looks really really really bad. Everything else is perfect.
