I never played it in coop. i have the yarr version on the backup drive as part of the library of congress sized back log that I will never live long enough to experience.
When i saw that i got so many flashbacks with good moments from that game. One of the best multiplayer games i've ever played.
I remember playing this in classroom with my friends 2vs2 and the moment when my friend stood up and raged like crazy at me because i've killed him over and over again in every round. Professor's face was priceless, like she didn't even interfere because she was curious just what the fuck happened between us
Ah... the memories. I will buy it just because of that.

It doesn't look that bad, but the controls look a bit too clumsy nowadays to me.
I would prefer a real remaster in a modern engine. Something like Siege even, but with a singleplayer campaign.

What's the point in having a Siege-like remaster? Go ahead and play Siege, then.
Its been ages since I've done anything requiring me to consider these options; this is the first I've heard of Tunngle - I'll check that out. Thanks man
I had to change the ini to force my resolution and I had to force Vsync. I am having some mouse acceleration problems and the titles of the tabs of the Settings pages are invisible. Ideas?
Otherwise the game is great, already played the first two missions a couple of times until I was satisfied with the results. You really need to use the Optiwand and bang when necessary, those fucking "suspects" chimp out too easily and go Rambo.

Next step: hardcore pepper gun-only playthrough!
Try these for the mouse problems, should fix/lessen the annoyance: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/SWAT_4#Mouse_acceleration
I don't know about the missing text, mine is fine here, but I'm on the old iso+manually patched version.
You might have to show Hidden files in Windows 10 file browser.
So if you primarily plan on playing SWAT4X you should change that .ini file of course.
My recommendation is to enter the game, start a mission, then go into options and tweak the mouse sense and pick your preferred button layout etc. Then you close the game. Open and tweak the .ini as described in the link, then save the .ini. BEFORE you boot up the game again, ensure that you have the .ini set to READ ONLY. That way the game won't be able to reset your widescreen edit, it will prompt an error message upon starting/quitting the game but that's irrelevant.
GOG version works good on un-modded servers online.
Use Direct Connect in the game.
Remember it matters if you're running SWAT4 or SWAT4X (expansion).
