Playing it on a 980 Ti... there is one place somewhere where I get just over 60 FPS. Other than that I get around 100 on average most of the time.

But that is at 1080p, not UW 1440p.

Yeah it's nothing new if you were a Day 1 Edition owner. At first I got excited when I heard about free DLC and thought it was the Pritchard mission only to see it was all the stuff I already had.

Deus Ex: Invisible War gets all-in-one unofficial patch
Quote:
A new unofficial patch has arrived for Deus Ex: Invisible War, bringing widescreen support and a few fixes to the game that I still think would be remembered quite fondly if it weren’t named ‘Deus Ex’. I found Invisible War technically fiddly and sloppy when I replayed it a few years back, and it sounds like the Visible Upgrade patch by ‘snobel’ fixes most of my gripes. It supports modern aspect ratios, including for folks who tape a dozen screens together, has an adjustable field of view, and fixes a few bugs. Oh, and it includes an optional high-res texture pack. Good stuff!

Some of the Visible Upgrade’s fixes have been possible before, through a combination of player-mode tools and, er, hex editing files, but having it all rolled into one simple update is grand. The Visible Upgrade also fixes problems with multicore CPUs and a few display glitches, speeds up level loading, gives options to tweak the HUD a little, and otherwise generally makes Invisible War nicer.

Including John P’s revamped textures is a nice touch too, making this pretty much the only download needed to modernise Invisible War. I tend not to use texture packs myself but hey, perhaps you do.

Swing by the TTLG forums to download the Visible Upgrade, and do pay attention to the installation instructions.

So that's both the original games taken care of then, nice work seeing how it's UE2 and not as mod friendly as the initial Deus Ex. (Or as good but that's another subject entirely. Very Happy )

IW was good it was just such a step in the wrong direction after the masterpiece of Deus Ex.

Particularly the super small areas and universal ammo.

Still despite that I enjoyed it so it could have been great if not for those fuck ups

[23-01-2017] PC Patch notes for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Patch build 724.2
We have just released another PC patch for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, v1.13 build 724.2_P13, which is a Breach-centered patch and focusses on improvements for that game mode.

This patch will be applied by Steam automatically when you next start the game. If your game does not update, please restart the Steam client.

If you wish to delay this update to a later time for your convenience, you will be able to stay on patch 12 by switching to build v1.12_build667.0 through the beta tab within the game properties window.

We will keep monitoring for feedback and will release further patches as it seems required. We always welcome your feedback!

Yes one more story DLC if I remember correctly, think it's the second of the two DLC that the season pass was for.

EDIT: "A criminal past." seems to be the name for it.

Quote:

"Adam Jensen goes undercover to enter a prison for augmented criminals. His mission is to find a fellow Interpol agent who is undercover on a separate mission, get information from him connected to an impending terrorist attack, and leave without being noticed."

Doubt it, at a guess since it's 2.5 GB either they added a lot of Breach content or this now contains the base data for that upcoming DLC.
(There are separate DLC files too but also shared content far as I'm aware which is why that earlier depot mentioned by Demde has a reserved space of 8 GB.)

This is even worse than Bethesda level on writing patch notes with how they copy/paste "General performance fixes and stability improvements." into every update since at least that goes with other more specific patch notes but here we now have some 2.5 GB of data "focused on improvements for that game mode." meaning Breach, yeah sure, so then what improvements exactly would those be requiring that big a update?

It might not be quite the same as xdelta the way Steam updates work should the developers opt to patch existing files instead of outright replacing the files (Faster, larger download.) but with Deus Ex: MD here they do use that method for updating existing content over straight replacement so there has to be a lot of new data in this update but whether that's for Breach or that other DLC well I guess we'll never truly know.

I read it should be set before the main game, so that makes sense.

The morons at Square Enix decided to "soft cancel" the next game, now that they did what they could to ruin Mankind Divided.

just looking at the screenshots of that mode is face palm worthy. Just think of the extra story mode content we could have got had they not wasted man hours to make this.

this and Doom MP dlc's are two great examples of how out of touch with their consumers these corporations actually are.

I waited for the game to drop to €16. I was planning to buy it on release but Denuvo put me off - I don't want to reward companies for using draconian security. As much as I loved the first game, I could wait a few months longer.

My main worry is 15-20 years down the line - some more draconian anti-piracy methods are the main reason many old games don't function anymore so why would I support the eventual death of a game?

I bet in X years all games will be like diablo 3 in regard to DRM (and any other way of releasing games will be banned) and there will be no indie developers left just corporations. We'll have facebook , twitter integration, in-game shops, CIA,NSA and FBI backdoors and other shit like this. CD Projekt WILL be at some point taken over and there will be nothing left for us but memories and tears. Laughing
