Cool Face

I bought it the very second I saw it on Steam. Surprised It's pretty good. I make my own video wallpapers now. And it has Steam Workshop support, so you can upload whatever you create. Or just download other's people wallpapers.

Noticed any performance impact?

I still remember many years ago in like Win 7 those live wallpapers often had a small impact.

It depends on the settings you chose, but at least for me the impact is negligible if there is any at all.

Damn steam keeps trolling me like non other. I keep seeing jrpg's and anime games on my front page advertised like it's my favorite genre, like out of the 5 or so games in the featured and reccomended section, 3-4 are anime/jrpg. even though i've put Anime and jrpg in the damn filters... I even have a billion of them already in "not interested" and never played a single game even remotely related to the genre.

But no, I have to look at final fantasy xvixixivi or something else with androgynous teens with cute giant eyes... every single day Dude Weep

Any advice men on how to combat this issue of utmost importance? Philosopheraptor

That's a familiar feeling Witchy
It also happens with MOBAs and that sort of stuff, the more I repel them, the more they show up like mushrooms xD

Setting the store preferences through the account settings just lowers the chance of seeing such games though, since it's "Pick up to three tags you wish to see less of" and not "pick up three tags you wish to never see again" Razz. There is no escape! Laughing

Steam Client Beta Update - Febuary 1st, 2017
1 FEBRUARY - ALFRED

The client beta has just been updated with the following changes:

General
- Updated Web Control to CEF v56.0.2924.51
- Added a setting to disable group event and announcement notifications
- Steam no longer shows notifications for all of your friends who are online/in-game when you first sign-in, instead you see notifications only for friends who change status after you sign-in
- Fixed Web Control failing to localize dates correctly
- Fixed Steam Video Player failing to load correctly when using non-latin characters in your Windows user name

Big Picture
- Big Picture ignores input from racing wheels and flight sticks including the Thrustmaster TX and HOTAS Warthog

Well, so far i went the easy way if a group overdoes is with those popup notifications: I just leave the group. Laughing

But i don't have nearly as many groups for all the free game notifications like he does.

European Commission is opening investigation in Valve for geo-blocking Steam keys

The investigation focuses on whether the agreements in question require or have required the use of activation keys for the purpose of geo-blocking. In particular, an "activation key" can grant access to a purchased game only to consumers in a particular EU Member State (for example the Czech Republic or Poland). This may amount to a breach of EU competition rules by reducing cross-border competition as a result of restricting so-called "parallel trade" within the Single Market and preventing consumers from buying cheaper games that may be available in other Member States.

After the purchase of certain PC video-games users need to confirm that their copy of the game is not pirated to be able to play it. This is done with an "activation key" on Valve's game distribution platform, Steam. This system is applied for a wide range of games, including sports, simulation and action games.

If anything it will encourage publisher to implement more stricter region locks because they know they can get away with it!

I think they might ban the region lock inside EU, preventing different prices in different european countries... third world blocks will probably remain in place though...
