My holy grail is finally here. I was going for a P226 but someone offered me an even trade my my compact Sig which cost like...a 3rd of the price than the P229 so I jumped on it. Feed ramp is flawelses as fuck.
It's a more compact version of the P226. Barrel length on the 229 is 3.9 inches vs the 226's 4.5 inches.
The slide is slight shorter, that's really about it
Max "Effective range" from Sig on the 229 is 50 yards but that's dependent on ammo type. In the hands of the right person you could probably go longer than that.
Nice! I really want a P226 as well actually. I think once I get settled in the new place I'm gonna ask my friend if he'll sell me his. He's got like 10 pistols and could prolly part with one hehe.

And I picked one up last week. Sold some older stock to pay for it so no money out of pocket really. This is the one I got.
