I'm thinking more of a reaction to their bugged out installer in their original release...In my opinion!

The game is pretty fun to play.
I've finished 3 campaigns so far and I still think intro was the best.
Graphics are great in grand scheme but seem very uneven especially in interiors. And the game makes me kinda dizzy. Not sure what is going on there.
Sound is exactly the same as in every BF game. That means everything sounds the same

I finally started playing BF1 again (I didn't like my first few games when I bought it on release) and found my favorite class: the support class. With a scoped SMG, I'm kicking major butt - always end up in top 5 in Conquest, usually in top 3 depending on how good my squad is. It's a very balanced class - good gun against infantry, mine grenade and crossbow against vehicles and the gun is good against planes as well! I can't get into Assault class though - its guns are shit even though its special gear is quite handy.

Despite all the attempts to revitalize the dead, the solemn final sound of the cpyingle player is still the one of a sad trombone
The graphics are gorgeous, the optimization is solid, the attempt to introduce the strong emoschunal narration and diverse stories is (somewhat) involving in its over-the-top banality, but for me it's a bricolage that kinda soiled itself.
The main problem is that behind the prettiness of the levels there's always a simplistic and straightforward/lazy design, with the introduction of a broken 'next gen' tacked on stealth with bipolar AI and gameplay bits existing solely to trigger the omnipresent bik cutscenes and tease cinematic scripts like in one of the millions of shakin' Cowabooties around.
It can have its moments, and the overall result isn't an abysmal one, just extremely short and painfully insipid.
It was still better than BF3/4's campaigns of course (then again, not having any campaign at all is better than those ) but I feel like the dilemma applies here as well. There is simply no talent for quality single player contents at Dicea (unlike Respawn with their surprising Titanfall 2), they should ditch the entire circus and save those resources for the MP, although they already save enough resources by shrinking contents from the getgo.
I'll grab it for the multiplayer one day, when it's cheap enough to happily pop up in the recycle bin, hopefully there will still be someone playing it unlike its poor special Jabba brother.

It looks like the SP maps are being recycled into free MP maps. It's something the developers said they wanted to do after they released the first free map, so the SP might be useful in the future. Recycling assets for free maps and creating new assets for paid map is what a lot of people wanted, so it would be cool to see it.
I also imagine it's hard to get funding for a game that looks as gorgeous as BF1 if you don't tell the publisher "we're doing a SP mode too".
