This game is amazing. Love the combat, love the story. The only thing i don't love is the sidequests the game ropes me into. They break the players character and ends too often with someone learning a valuable lesson. They're simply shit. I'll admit though, some are funny.
Not all, but many sidequests are absolutely hilarious and insane, also the real estate and cabaret quests that unlock later on are very addictive and fun.
I just finished the cabaret and real estate stuff and reached chapter 13 with 65 hours of playtime - and with still half of the sidequests left.
Just finished this after 47 hours, it was bloody fantastic, I have half a mind to start the next Yakuza game I have right away (which would be Yakuza 4), but it's probably best to wait for Kiwami's release this summer.
In that time I managed to complete ~50 side quests, I thought they were really fun, not necessarily gameplay-wise, but as comic relief. Since the main quest is quite serious, these weird-ass, strongly "japanese" breaks from that felt really good from time to time. I couldn't really get into Kyriu's real estate stuff, but the cabaret quest-line is great, really simple yet addictive, I'll definitely see that through before starting to play something else.
Dammit if I got this game I'd struggle to find time to play it especially with For Honor due out next week! I'm already juggling the Open Beta with Resident Evil 7 and Nioh! :/
I have to say Im pretty impressed with Yakuza 0 so far. Played for about 4 hours and just started chapter 2. Seems like there is quite a lot to it! The story is pretty intriguing and Im keen to see how it progresses. One minor thing that bothers me and is somewhat frustrating is the restrictions on where you can and cant go but it is what it is. I guess I dont mind subtitles but I assume there is no way to change the spoken language to English either?
It really helped to read all the tips as the tutorials dont explain a lot!
Also Ive not even played any mini games yet but dat karoake lol.
Just finished the game. Holy shit this was fantastic. The final battle was amazing.
Did the credits just spoil some of the next games though? :S
they where always like that , it was the charm of Yakuza
anyway , now play Yakuza Dead Souls if you have PS3 ... its Resident evil done right ...
no its not, its the only bad Yakuza game, there's nothing "done right" about it, I forced myself to play through that pos only because I am a series fan.
