Yeah, I think that they purposefully went for a down-to-earth look that puts the focus more on the person as a human being rather than on her attractiveness.
Such boldness could only be justified if the game itself is actually good. If not then pandering for nothing.

Does it? We don't know much about this yet. Was DA:I a "PC SJW" game? In my books the characters were pretty well written and aside of DA:O's Morrigan and Zevran, I think Inquisition had the best characters in the series. I even read one of the two books dedicated to DA:I and that was pretty good as well, considering its purpose.

I mean by just looking at the characters visuals and their backstories.
Also none of them is really that sexy.
And no, i don't remember DA:I as a SJW. Yes it has some "special" characters.
But in ME4 every companion looks like a special little snowflake.

I think the issue is that Bio seem to be wanting to suck all the 'sexy' from this game. So instead of having a 'sexy' Miranda character, you'd get one with rough, pioneer-looking garments, with a stern face, and not a hint of cleavage or camel toe in sight.
Contrary to what a lot of these ... whatever they want to identify themselves as, some women like to look attractive, and dare I say, sexy? However, more and more often, when a female such as this is used in a game, it is immediately attacked for being anti-whatever the latest thing to target is.
Some publishers are not as bothered as others. Bioware and/or EA, have somehow taken the great things from ME, and, from what we can see so far, removed anything that could be considered 'white straight and male' specific. At least that the impression being given out. And while diversity has it's place, there is such a thing as going 'too far'.

So a sexy character walking around in extremely tight fitting clothes, is not strange, but these characters are? The female character's face doesn't look normal and it's low res, but I'd be happy once devs stop modeling these models in their games.

There is no trend, it's just non attractive females, as skinny(as in flat, no curves)/fat as possible, no makeup, no sexy poses or anything cause someone living sheltered in a box somewhere in backwards county might be offended cause she can't identify herself as the apache helicopter in videogame X.
TLDR Make everything plain and ugly so ugly people don't feel bad.
Remember kids, there's no hot females IRL, bioware said so!

Unless you live in a VERY sheltered existence, yes women in real life DO dress up in tight, sexually provocative outfits, and some even wear tight jeans and blouses to work. They wear them in all walks of life, and to deny they do is to acknowledge that the twats at Bioware are correct in making everyone as plain and as un-stereotypical as possible - even though stereotyping is just a form of judgement by an individual on a group, which generally has no basis in fact.
Models are just people with nice faces, and good figures. They physically represent a large proportion of women in the world - anyone who tells you otherwise is probably just envious.

Aside from weird facial animations I don't find the characters strange at all. If anything, the girl looks... well, normal. Intead of looking like a perfectly shaped porn actress or something  It's not a huge deal either way, writing is where it all lies.
I do have some hope for this one. I did find some good stuff in DA:I, contrary to what many people write while flaming the game to hell. Some things were actually almost unlike Bioware - Blackwall genuinely surprised me, as did Solas (even though he wasn't presented as well as he should've been, considering his importance). Cole and Bull were coo tool - way cooler than I thought they'd be, in fact. There were some weak ones - like Vivienne or Cassandra, but all in all, characters were one of the reasons I actually did manage to finish the game. The pre-launch marketing campaign for companions was HORRIBLE though and I think many people got stuck on the cliches it presented.

Ladies and Ryderbitches,
the vids from Dick Effect Andickmeda look very promising so far. The graphics are fucking good no doubt about it. The female Ryder though looks pretty fucking shit but none of us would ever consider playing as a female Ryderbabe. Thats not in our nature as fucking long banana men. However the female Ryderbitch will appear as our sister which is a fucking shame no fucking doubt about it. BUT let me remind you we WONT fuck her I am sure that wont be fucking possible thank god and my dick.
So what do we fucking get? Probably wild characters once afuckinggain. The Mass Effect Dickology was goddamn good. The worst part for me was the extremely tight linear shit levelcorridors tighter than a small asshole. So that hopefully will change a bit now.
Who can we fuck? Well that Corababe. Now there is still hope we can change the hair on her head and in the pants. If not well then we gotta fight through a soldiersexfuckadventure. Cant help it. Nevertheless there are more important things than fucking and raping nonstop. We gotta find a place for humanity to fucking survive thats our dicklicking purpose.
I am more worried about the fucking performance as always. Especially cause I wanna fucking try the Dolby Dong Vision with 4k on an overfucked 1070.
Sabin with his his 780ti gave up already. He doesnt even bother fucking around in the forum anymore I understand that. His hardware fucked him through and through he couldnt take the shit anymore. He thought his 780 would be the best graphicswhorecard for all eternity unfortunately he was fucking wrong especially with that dickjoke of a 2gb vram. Thats less than my dongvolume.
Anyway back to topic. Lets not fucking forget Mass Effect 1. Super shitty toiletquality graphics with these empty dickplanets and Ashley was not a good fuckobject. It still was good somefuckinghow. Andromeda will be great no fucking doubt about it. Maybe we gotta realize and understand the FUCKING is not the main objective. So lets stay calm and be happy we have real meatcocks we dont need Ryders apelolli!
So what can we also expect of Whore Effect Dickdromeda? The Nexus. Its gonna be like the fucking Citadel which is great. Probably lots of things to see smell feel and rape there. Looking forward to the Nexus brothel.
And so it will begin soon. In about 5 weeks we can finally start the epic adventure fucking nice.
What I dont like AT FUCKING ALL is the fact we got a novice a rookieasshole as the main character. The story is not mainly about the small dick Ryder and its not all in our dickfinger hands. I dont like that one bit. Doesnt sound good if you ask me or my sausage.
But I am very much looking forward to Monkey Dong Andromeda. Its gonna be fun, epic and probably pretty good. Remember the fucking is always optional!
