There is a huge city of the undead/damned/whatever evil
It's not huge and it doesn't look like a city. More like a primitive set of large arenas filled with skeletons and the undead mini-boss at the center.
When I was watching the playthrough I was surprised at how barebone it was..What's worse the base design was bad. A 12 year old could have come up with a better idea of an underground "ancient city".

And they are all single-player or co-op games and had almost all their features already present at alpha release. Every multiplayer focused EA game just stays forever in alpha or beta and improves very little (if at all) over the years.
ARK, Rust, H1Z1, DayZ, The Culling, Life is Feudal and now Conan Exiles? They will never be "released" only to have the infinite excuse of "being in early access". Yes, people still enjoy these games, but it's a scumbag way of taking money out of customers. And even if some gets released people will find out it's still the almost the same game since early alpha.

Oh please get the fuck over yourself. I played 7 Days to Die when it was just a few months old and had a ton of fun. Going back to it every few months and seeing what new stuff got added is great and it's enjoyable to see a game grow. These early access games tend to be half or even a third of the price of a full game anyway and the important thing is you're getting a lot of fun out of it. If it weren't for EA, they'd just release a bare bone game and use the funds to make a sequel which is what indie devs used to do. The EA system is not perfect but no-one is forcing you to pay you git. If people want to pay to play the game in its current state, then good for them!

He can't because the save file is with you. You were the host, and you will still need to be playing for him to join. Otherwise you must host your own dedicated server or find one.

Steam Connect and passwords should be working properly again. Which should help with services such as www.topconanservers.com
You will now be able to change filters on the server browser while the list is refreshing
The crafting bug involving duped phantom items should now be fixed (Praise Crom!)
Thralls will no longer attack unconscious NPCs
After a few turns on the wheel of pain the server browser has promised to stop brutalizing network adaptors.
PS: We are working on the Clans crashing Servers and Disappearing Altars issues.
Conan Exiles recoups development costs in a week on Steam Early Access

Added ability to directly connect to a server by entering its IP and port. This may be done from a new button on the bottom-left of the in-game server browser.
Hard to compare, and they are very different games. TSL have been out for ages, and im pretty sure you can get it really cheap. Im waiting for this one to go on sale, and see more things added. So far iv only been playing yarr version by myself.

We've been paying close attention to your feedback over the past couple of weeks, and are working to release the biggest patch the Exiled Lands has seen to date!
Look out for this patch in the next couple of days:

• NPCs should be less jittery when rotating
• A fix for connecting to servers via the steam server browser and when using steamconnect
• Buildings should now load in much faster
• Placeables placed on foundations and ceiling tiles will now be saved correctly
• Several improvements to how rocks behave when they are harvested

• Small Placeables will no longer claim land (!)
• NPC Camps now have their own land claim to prevent people from building so close to them that they stop spawning NPCs (!!)

• We have done an overhaul on what monsters can damage which tier of buildings. If you haven’t upgraded from sandstone you might want to think about doing that.
• Increased crafting XP across the board with greater increases for crafting more complex (higher tier) items
• Inverted Wooden Roof Wedge and Stonebrick Frame now require Journeyman Craftsman instead of Master Craftsman
• Black rocks in the starting desert are now harvestable
• Higher grade tools will now yield higher amounts of secondary resources (Bark/branches)
• Resetting your Knowledge Points will no longer cause you to lose your selected religion
• Removed Corruption sources from starting area caves
• Removed the Regen component from Purified Meat. This perk is reserved to Mitra's Ambrosia and Healing Potions. Purified Meat is still an extremely good food source

Known Issues
We are currently aware of the following inventory issues with this patch, all of which may be temporarily solved by relogging:
Looting several bags with "Loot All" causes items to disappear
Dropping multiple items into a bag causes items to be invisible
Dismantling crafting stations with items in them will sometimes not drop a loot bag. Other times, a small lootbag will drop, which grows in size once players interact with it
We'll work to get the above known issues fixed tomorrow.
We are also aware of the existence of issues with explosive jars and jump "boosting". We'll work to get these fixed this week. Thank you!

Dear Exiles,
Today we are rolling out a branch of the game called Testlive on Steam. Testlive is a version of the game where we and you, the community, can stress test upcoming game patches before they’re rolled out to the main, live version of the game.
Testlive builds can be played online on an official Funcom server or offline locally. The Testlive server will be reset constantly, so don’t get very attached to your progress there.
If you’re admin on a private server and want to help us stress test these patches you can install the Testlive build to your server. As long as your players are running the same build they’ll be able to get in and play. Keep in mind that you’re running Testlive builds on your own risk. The builds can be incredibly buggy and prone to breaking. They might also destroy your server databases and make characters unplayable.
Want to join Testlive? Do the following in your Steam library:
Right Click on Conan Exiles.
Select “Properties”.
Go to the “Betas” tab.
From the drop down menu select, "Testlive".
Close the window.
Steam should automatically download Testlive. Once it's done, run the game. You're now running the Testlive build of Conan Exiles.
If you want to go back to the MAIN build just repeat the steps above and choose “NONE” in the drop down list in the “Betas” tab.
We’ll be putting up a special subforum on our Steam forum dedicated to Testlive. Only Funcom staff and forum mods is to make new threads in this subforum. When a new patch goes out to Testlive the patch notes will be posted there in an open thread where you can provide us with feedback on the latest Testlive build. Known Issues
We are aware of some issues with Explosive Jars. We expect to have fixes for these next week.
We are also aware of the existence of issues with related to jump "boosting" or jump-crouching. We have a fix and expect to roll it out soon.
We are aware that players may occasionally be sent to the Main Menu while loading and can interact with the menu. We are working on a fix.
The region lock does not affect Russia and South America. It just means that players from Asia can't play on official North American or European servers, but official servers in Asia will be introduced this week. Players anywhere can still of course play on the thousands of private servers which are available.
That's a good thing (however it should be extended to Russia and South America as well). It just fucks it up for everyone else when you have people playing en mass from another region.
The language barrier is one thing. Latency another. Add to that the fact that certain "regions" have an affinity for "swarming" servers and being disruptive (although that's a bit of a moot point in a "survival" game I suppose?)
More games need to implement something like this - however there should be a wide spread of official servers for each region to accommodate it so no player base gets screwed.

In fact when I played MMORPGs I always preferred playing in English speaking clans. For me games, films , tv series are not just about entertainment but about education and training language-wise as well.
Latency is not an issue btw. At all. We have a very good (less than 50 mostly) latency to all European servers.Even when playing on US servers latency is acceptable (less than ~150+-) .That's one of the few things that is good in Russia. Internet. That is when sites are not blocked by chekist internet watchdog Roskmnadzor

I'm multi-lingual - English being my native language - with conversational Polish thrown in - and I know I'd feel very strange playing on a server (MMO or otherwise) where the vast majority of people spoke a foreign language (whatever that may be).
At best it would feel odd. At worst it would lead to me being a liability for my team/group due to miscommunication.
I don't see anything wrong with region restrictions on official servers - again, provided that the publisher/developer offers quality servers in each region.

Besides, most MMORPGs are originally made in English by Western developers. If I can (I can and want) why should I play it in Russian?
Even if a film or tv show is not in English I still watch them in original language but having English subtitles enabled. As I've said it's not just about entertainment. You are constantly testing, training, improving your skills and knowledge and you are doing all that just by playing a game or watching a film.

Well, I do. And consider it a ghetto. Especially when it's done for somewhat dubious reasons. If you want to play games in your native language (if it's available) and \or on a regional server then nothing stops you. Why do you want to deprive others of this choice?
If ,say, I was still playing TESO and Zenimax locked Russian IPs to a Russian only server I would get VPN to play on EU servers.
In fact there are many players from the EU who prefer to play online games in English and be a part of an international English speaking guild. And I reckon they wouldn't be too happy if they got locked to only regional servers either.

Asian region servers are being brought up right now. These servers will have 2x XP and 2x Harvesting for 1 week [excluding Blitz PvP servers]. These servers are physically located outside of Asia. We are still waiting for new server hardware to arrive in Asia. Once the hardware has arrived we will move the game databases onto the servers located in Asia.
General Bug Fixes and Improvements
Spider projectiles have the correct size again
Voice chat now uses Steam peer-to-peer. This should fix cases where voice chat did not work in addition to improving server performance
Voice chat should have less latency and clicks. Please give us feedback about how the new voice chat works and suggest improvements.
Middle-Eastern countries have been moved out of the game`s Asian region
Known issues:
We are currently aware of the following issues in Conan Exiles:
Explosive Jars exploits. We expect to roll out a fix for these very soon.
Stacks of items will in certain situations have their size set to 1. We are working on a fix.
Bows occasionally won't fire or consuming ammunition. We are working on a fix.

TL;DR (Patch Highlights)
Known Issue: Yellow Lotus Potions sometimes have no effect. This will be fixed as quickly as possible, and in the meantime we recommend not using them.
EXPLOIT FIX: Players can no longer use building previews to move themselves around
This specifically addresses issues with Explosive Jar and Well placement previews
EXPLOIT FIX: Players can no longer use chairs to travel great distances
EXPLOIT FIX: The crouch/jump "boost" should now be fixed
Please get in touch with us if you discover additional instances where jump "boosting" is possible. We understand the impact these issues had on raiding and general basebuilding on PvP servers, and want to make sure this issue is completely eliminated.

Players can drink while underwater again
Players now respawn immediately upon dying, skipping the death camera.
This is a temporary change in order to prevent players from retaining gear after death, and a permanent solution will be implemented in the future.
Added a short delay before you can harvest a corpse to reduce the chance of accidentally hitting the corpse with a non-optimal tool
Players now unequip their weapons when logging in. This fixes a problem with animation states.
Bows should now always consume ammunition
Fixed a collision issue with the giant spider and rebalanced its attacks
Fixed an issue with explosive jars causing camera jitter when colliding with the player in build mode

Bedrolls and beds can only be bound to one character at a time
Make beds only have one owner, and show the owner in GUI. If you respawn, the bedroll is prioritized over the bed, so bedrolls can be used for expeditions. Please give us feedback on this change.
Players can no longer break the surrender emote by entering combat unarmed
Monsters have received unique attacks and can now knock you back
The pickaxe now suffers no harvesting penalties and give full resources from trees and rocks
You can no longer build in invalid locations if you enter building mode without moving the mouse

Known Issues
We are aware that crossbows still fire inconsistently. We are working on a fix
Shrines are currently not able to be placed in singleplayer mode. We are aware of this and will fix that as quickly as possible.
Yellow Lotus Potions sometimes have no effect. This will be fixed as quickly as possible, and in the meantime we recommend not using them.
