BTW It's playable at 42% downloaded. I would imagine the demo'll be very limited tho, probably up to a certain point in the game, not very far in. They did that with FIFA too.

It's not the demo. Free trial. Full version playable for 8 hours. If You buy it You will continue the game from last save that You made in trial.

Playable for 10 hrs and content locked, you cant progress after a certain point.

Well, played for an hour, game crashed once when entering the menu and the sounddriver just crashed for no apparent reason ingame. Cant say anything about it yet... the music sounds like Mass Effect at least. Runs pretty good on my 1070 (early small areas, so that means jackshit) and KB/M seems to work well at first glance.

Haha, unfortunately, I think the only suitable option would still be the trademark  everything looks and sounds utterly abysmal, from a company that hasn't released a good game since 2009, but I'm still hopeful they will deliver this time!

The beginning isn't good... Bad facial animations, cheesy and implausible writing, a ton of objects to scan and a cover system that seems stupider than the one from The Division.

Oh dear god.
Played for 30 mins. It's worse than we could have possibly expected. The videos we saw were bad enough, but playing it is just like... How did we regress 15 years in terms of graphical fidelity? They feel like they're missing something - like a layer of effects have been completely removed. Which isn't a surprise given the target audience for this is 15yr old console kiddies - and that's not even me being sarcastic.
The Voice Acting is possibly the worst I have EVER heard. Over the top gruffness from Dad (but not for very long), silly teenage type stuff from the black guy, and why the FUCK do we have a GAY AI VOICE??? That is beyond the realms of diversity - that is literally kissing up to the SJW 'journalists', hoping to score extra rainbow points, to go along with the dyke-looking females.
Talking of females, the creator is amusing, in that you cannot choose a pale, white skin. I kid you not. The lightest shade you get to choose is a very Asian shade. No pink or pale whites in this game - that just wouldn't fit in with the obvious Message Bioware are putting in here.
Oh and lip size. Apparently, women in the future have lips the size of botox-gone-wrong. This is what makes them very unattractive, along with the very odd nose shapes. It is literally impossible to create a female that is even remotely White - and again, I'm not being sarcastic.
Combat? It sucks. Like, properly shit. The cover system just doesn't work. The controls are cumbersome, and the way you have to actually press a button to face a different direction in cover is just ludicrous. That sounds petty until you realise how incredibly annoying it is when you're behind a small rock, and you forget to press RS to look the other way.
Animations are worse than the videos. they look like a caricature of human movement. Squad AI doesn't exist. I was expecting by now, that AI in this game knew how to revive squadmates, but no. They run around like headless chickens, even so far as to push me off a cliff while I was shooting. And you know what happened? No, I didn't die. The screen went black, faded back in with me a bit further back, and said 'you left the playing area.' REALLY?
Sound is adequate, I've not played enough to properly review it. Suffice to say everything sounds like you would expect, apart from the voices which are grotesque.
Facial animations. They all look like they're trying to talk around a mouthful of gum. It's laughably bad.
Words alone cannot express my dissatisfaction with this game. Nothing about it causes me to think that it will have any redeeming qualities. I LIKED the original ME series, despite some of it/s shortcomings. I though the voice acting was absolutely fine, and the graphics back then were acceptably good. The gunplay, while progressively more arcadish towards the last game, was still good, I never really felt like I had no control over what I was doing.
Not in Andromeda though. I feel like I'm shooting a waterpistol all over the place. The cover system is absolutely broken - it doesn't even offer cover half the time. There is no manual duck button that I can find, and that means you have to hope you get INTO cover properly. There is no way of knowing which item will offer what cover. Some taller items mean you stand behind it, which is great. Some smaller items you duck. And some you do neither, and you just stand there, wishing you had a duck button.
My advice? If you like gaming, of any kind, don't buy this. If you liked ME - don't buy this. If you're a LGBTQ supporter, who has no clue about gaming, but wants to be able to shout out 'FINALLY! A game that identifies with me!' - go ahead, buy it and save the world.
