Judging from the exciting names involved, there might even be the genuine chance that this sequel could turn out to be worse than the first movie. Granted, it's something that is technically and humanely impossible to achieve as far as I'm concerned, but with Hollyboo...never say never!

It made a surprisingly great amount of money actually. If BvS underperformed, SS definitely overperformed!
$745.6M on a $175M budget, and that is without being shown in China! (I would expect another $100+ M if it was allowed to be screened there). That's almost as much as Deadpool and Guardians of the Galaxy, which are a lot better superhero films.
(Granted Deadpool is in a disadvantage because it's R-rated. Then again, it's the best performing X-Men film, anyway, so it's not like I can substitute it with another Fox film!)

Not if the studio fucks with it.
Glimpses of suicide squad had some decency to it.
But as a whole it was a disgusting mess.
If they gave ayer full control it could have had potential.
Some intern did the queen trailer... they loved it...
And redid the entire movie to catch that vibe

There it is. I knew when reports came that WB were trying to get Gunn immediately after he was fired, that Suicide Squad would be one of the properties they would want to offer him.
