I still doubt it was her, who was lead animator. But at the offchance she in fact was, get ready for this VERY soon:
"Talented young rising star and lead face animator for the award winning Mass Effect series facing wave of misogynistic hate online"
Get ready for it, because this is the narrative, that is about to be built. Question is, will it be written on Kotaku first or the Huffington post?
Make your bets now, I called it.
Oh yes, they probably already have the articles written and good to go the day after the official launch.
I can't help but think this was 100% a deliberate action, hiring someone who was OBVIOUSLY part of the ridiculous SJW movement, as her demo videos are a warrior's literal wet dream. It's almost as if the last 4 years of development and planning were centred around this specific agenda, and as a result, animations, voice acting and faces all suffered - just to make a pointless point.
The warped politics of AAA gaming is becoming even more corrupt than the US political system.

The most hilarious (sad actually) part is her animation reel, called "I hate men": https://vimeo.com/62556369
edit: it's definitely true, checked her linkedin profile:
Spoiler:
To be fair, it's just one short on the reel that is called "I hate men" and it's not exactly some anti-male agenda pushing propaganda in its content.

It won't be difficult to make that argument. Not about her talents, but about hate and personal attacks. There seems to be enough of hateful comments made towards her and suggestions that she basically whored herself out to get the job are abound. All because she allegedly (I also doubt she was the only person who was working on this) ruined their game.
Nothing new for the world of internet, but it can be easily classified as misogyny nonetheless.
I wonder why they chose the strange cartoon style. It worked well in DA:I, but here it's misplaced. I think the graphics look fine when I play it, but something isn't right.
Poor girl.... i went to her instagram and already people blaming and cussing her
Obviously there is no one person to blame on this one, except for someone who's a boss. This (and all other glaring shortcomings) are all because of decisions that were made higher up.
Reading her Instagram gives me no hope for humanity. Jeez, some people.
If you don't like the game then don't play it. It's bad. So what? It's not like your life was depending on this game or they forced anyone to buy their game. When that happens, you can bitch all you want.
In fact, it's not like it's 2/10 level bad. It's still a very average game even with all the technical issues. Are we going to pretend like other open world games don't have any bugs? I can post videos about Witcher or TES bugs and whatnot.
Feels like anything from EA always ends up in a bitching section.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Calm thy tits about that animator chicks mens.
Remember, context maters on the "I hate men" stuffs, all there is is a 5s video FFS. Or are we going down the same path SJW morons did when accusing pewdiepie/colin moriarty/whoever?
And if the animations are indeed the result of some quota bullshit imposed on the developer by the management then the management idiots should be the ones to blame, no?

I agree with you, the company itself/management is the problem here, that goes without saying really. It's a collective failure and certainly not something that rests on one single animator's head.
I simply found the 'discovery' amusing in the context of the game, which if anything once again shows the ineptitude and the certain precise direction dictated by the company that generally and traditionally doesn't seem to reward talent (there was talent once, but has progressively left Bioware), which translates to the quality (or lack thereof) of the final product.
The reactions from individuals already commenting with threats/insults are downright disgusting and completely unintelligible to me, there's no other way to put it :<. Not only they won't achieve absolutely anything, but they will eclipse the real issue here moving the spotlight to something else (we know what) and reinforcing convictions that mustn't be reinforced like a dog chasing its tail.
Scanning for resources is an absolute joke and should have been left out. The game seems to be typical for Biowere, the first hours are pretty boring but the overarching story might be interesting. Characters seem pretty okay, better than what I expected before playing the trial. Unfortunately, taking 20 seconds to move between objects into a system is a chore, just like scanning for resources. Collecting resources from veins found in the world seems to yield the same amount of resources as finding a mine-able asteroid. Proportions are off for characters, heads seem too big, females seem to have fetal alcohol syndrome, gaining the "mantle" of Pathfinder is forced and I hoped Clancy Brown would have a bigger role, although there are logs and memory triggers you can find to unlock more stuff from him and find out more about the story. Gameplay seems okay, although it's clear there's some physics engine attached to the characters legs (which explains the wonky walking animations) I'd have expected more in terms of climbing besides being able to only grab ledges. Just like the Hinterlands in DA:I, I hope not all planets are like Eos where I got lost in exploring. While not a bad thing, it seemed somewhat forced because of the viability meter. Not a bad gameplay mechanic considering it facilitates exploration. Take this with a grain of salt, I've been aching for a new game where I can do the stuff Andromeda permits regarding planetside activities.
