I am 14 hours in. Love this game. Its a good bioshock
The exploration is so overhwelming and rewarding.

Did Chris Avellone actually work on this? The story is so underwhelming, even when I thought things are getting good, they did not. It turned out to be some lazy ass story turn.
The bugs are also a joy, I worked my ass to get all those Treasure Maps, the code doesn't work...
LE: I finished it with the good ending and it was more or less what I was expecting aside of one factor that didn't surprise me all that much.
Overall Prey is a good game but nowhere near as impactful as the games it draws inspiration from. The gameplay is pretty solid mirroring the shock-esque progression based experience within in an environment that's specifically designed to favor exploration and imaginative play styles. But there isn't much worth praising aside of the captivating exploration/gameplay with some nice choices and consequences. The graphics aren't all that great, the narrative is surprisingly weak, the monsters are boring, the atmosphere is lacking and there are enough annoying bugs to kill the joy. I did enjoy it for what it is and the almost 30 hours it took me to finish it is way above the average of a singleplayer FPS, but it's not the Prey I was expecting or maybe it's not the Prey I wanted it to be.
Fuck I overplayed Dishonored 2 because I try to sneak assassinate the mimics with the wrench. Also all the upgrades seems useful and I have probably fucked up my character
Shame with the bugs, ultrashit hacking and underwhelming textures otherwise I'm enjoying it.
Mouse movement would have been helpful but it's not that difficult with a keyboard or well at least not until the RNG screws you over and you get one of those courses that you have to navigate all the way around to get to the zone.
(Bouncing all over the place just by lightly hitting those barriers.)
Hacking is the easiest shit if you have a controller.
Yeah, that what I thought...

I'm waiting for a crack... based on previous games, I guess it might take a week or two. Still have other games to play for now, but will definitely try this either if I empty my backlog or as soon as it gets cracked

If you plan on using powers actively do yourself a favor and get to Life Support area (via the lobby lift) as soon as you can and do Psychic Water quest.
This way when you drink water it will restore 50 points of psi energy.
Chipsets' placement is random and generated upon entering a new area for the first time. I've just checked it...So, the chances that you'll get duplicates and won't get what u want are pretty high.

Thats not a bad decision, but you could really get duplicates? Because that aspect sucks really.
(For example in Dishonored 1,2 the bonecharms were random too)
Yeah. I got 2 X and 2 Y chipsets. I hope at least +damage and +crit chipsets stack .

I dunno..it's not diablo..
For instance, I'd really like to get psi regen chipsets coz I'm a mage who throws sofas. but I got jack shit.
Don't know what the difference between suit and helmet chipsets.
I saw helmet chipset which when equipped deals more psi damage.
??? how does the helm comes to give you such powers????
For example: resarch time reduction coming from helm power is very okay and "logic". But damage??????
I guess the helmet upgrades amplify your PSI mind powers => more damage.
well okay. They could've gone with much more creative "powers" for helmet:
nightvision
highlight collectibles
Flashlight consumption optimizer
hud changer
But this power + thingie feels like this:
When you pick up 1 neuromod, it will be 2.
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
