Spiders only care about hunting me, so in the end we see who's the greatest hunter in the house. I haven't lost yet. Been draw a few times though.

No they are not, they survive as they can, as any species.
You do know that by murdering smaller, less competent in hiding spiders, you are only going to selectively strengthen the species anyways?
Your kids will deal with more cunning and larger spider specimens that will focus on hunting humans when they are unaware, if you keep killing the ones that walk out in the open at daytime.
and a few generations later, you get bird eating spiders. true story.
