It's all good in closed areas though e.g. ressistance camp.

Unistalling FAR didn't help, same with updating drivers, any idea to fix this, please?

Maybe it was the same prior to applying the FAR, however I believe I would notice them to be so much off as those glitched shadows are even more horrendous to look at in motion, there's a grainy grid all over the place and it's hurting my already tired eyes...

Nope that's pretty much how they always looked and FAR didn't do anything to the shadows so far there was talk about improving them but it was a lot of or something so no one did so far.

Btw found some cheat engine tables for the hacking mini game at the credits required to get ending E: http://fearlessrevolution.com/viewtopic.php?t=636&start=75
didn't test is so far since i'm not home but it should work theoretically.

Thanks for the reply, however I'm not sure you've looked very close at my screenshot, maybe the issue is not that apparent on still image, trust me - in motion it's flickering is driving me insane, the tree shadow shows a bit better this weird grid pattern, I'm not talking about jaggied edges but their filling.

Sure the shadows weren't the prettiest even on highest settings at 4K and in closed areas, but the issue I have is something different, see a random screenshot with 'normal' shadows for a comparison:
http://images.eurogamer.net/2017/articles//a/1/8/9/1/4/6/6/MED_000.bmp.jpg
These are let's say consistent, no grid graining, just smooth filling

I think it's worse in the City? well you kinda get used to it after a while so i can't even tell if it's really like that anymore ^^
Here is a screen from me, looks like that as well:
http://imgur.com/a/B7yqN
I also checked without FAR and they always look like that.
The screen form Eurogamer above could also be from the PS4 pro version(very likely the screen is 1080p but the game renders only in 900p on pc without FAR or some other fix which they could not have at that time) they got better shadow filtering in that version for some reason there where some complaints about that after release.

Thanks a lot for your own screenshot to check against, indeed it looks very similar. I guess I was too busy having fun for 25h till I noticed how HORRIBLE the shadows are in the city open area haha!

Good to know that it's not something I screwed up by messing with the mod, it's been driving me insane for whole day trying to fix this, silly me...

Nope, not even once with over 25h, at least for me.
However the steam forums have quite few 'displeased' users who still can't start this game 2 months after release.

... seems like the crack works flawlesly for some and crash-y for others ....i guess its gonna be caused by badly done cpuid emulation in the crack (works for some cpus and crashes for thers)

It's definitely a random-ish behaviour from what I can tell, some configurations digest the yarroumata better than others. I was setting up the game for a future playthrough, for me the original version of the bald men never works properly no matter the attempts (always crashes either after the first boss or while simply browsing the menu), but the fix by Triplesec with the Codex emulator works fine on my end (i5 2500k/Win10).

Basically: Fisher's Steam-Rip + 3C3C1D119440927 DLC (no update, as it's already included in the release) + Triplesec Fix + FAR 0.5.6.12 + patched dxgi to get rid of the problems from the herpa they be stealin' the game! modder, and everything seems to be under control here (but who knows what could possibly happen later on You Suspicious Be Razz)

It is surely random as far as I can see.

I was able to play using the FLTGirl repack and using the tripex crack or whatever it's called.

I was not able to use any FAR versions as where the game would crash instantly.

So for now I am using only bordeless app for the full screen fix at native resolution of 1440p in my case. I played the whole prologue without any issues, bugs, sound crap, crashing. Nothing of this is/was present in my play through.

Also played maxed out at 60 fps.

Looking forward to continue this and hopefully some real definite fix will come up for everybody.

For people that have crash problems try and set affinity to every odd core ( you need a minimum of 2 core selected to work it seems) like this in picture

not sure why it works but it works Laughing before doing this my game was crashing every 40 min to on hour , now i play 3-4 hours and no crash so far
Also for those that use FAR (used multiple versions) try delete every FAR related file in the game folder then also go to Documents\My Mods and delete SpecialK folder , it seems that different FAR versions write settings slightly different and if you tried multiple versions that file gets corrupted easily and causes hard crashes. After this you can put whatever FAR you like and should not crash
Also for people who use x360/one controllers go into FAR menu (ingame) imputs>gamepads and check rehook Ximput then restart the game.
If it still crashes i have no idea
I use Fatgirl repack Nier+update1+weird numbers dlc, Triplesec+CODEX crack and FAR_0_5_6_12

out of sig inspiration for the moment Okay

Or just disable HT if you are on a I5 this shouldn't matter since they got no HT so if you are crashing because they borked multi threading in the crack you have to disable all cores but 1.

They fixed absolutely nothing at all, pc port was also not made by Platinum itself (they know how to port i mean just look at Bayonetta or their other games none are even remotely ported as badly as this one) but a small porting team from Square Enix itself (it's in the credits) and they are not only as incompetent as always but they also don't really give a crap they allrdy got your money after all.

It's really not. This game has everything, an engaging and emotional story, a great gameplay formula that you won't see anywhere else, lovable characters, masterful music, etc. There's little to complain about that's objective besides the technical problems.

Do tell. You mean this ridiculous camera switching\mixing genres and turning from a third person action RPG into 2.5D or top-down crap? I don't need this shit in my third person action RPGs, thank you very much. Laughing It destroys gameplay and immersion for me.

I really hope I'll never see this nonsense again in any game.

Well the fact that you don't like it doesn't make it less good. This mix of genres is quirky but unique and it works perfectly within the game's theme. Every transition is justified, well timed and won't hinder the player in that situation.

You knew this from the get go, you could have avoided it by just not playing this game. Razz

I usually hate jap stuff, but I'm liking this... yes, there is some typical jap bullshit (character design and dialogue mainly), but the gameplay is solid and fun.

The only things I'm really disliking is how the graphics have a very "washed out / faded" look... everything is too bright and de-saturated... at times it almost looks like the game is in black & white (well, it is in the bunker, but I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about the rest of the game).
