Shakedown Hawaii brings the Vblank open world universe into the 16-bit era, powered up with destructible environments and an arsenal of supercharged weapons. Taking place some 30 years afterthe events of Retro City Rampage , the game follows The Player as he comes out of early retirement to rebuild his neglected corporate empire.
From the boardroom to the streets, build your corporate empire and destroy the competition.
Welcome to Shakedown: Hawaii, Vblank Entertainment's latest open world adventure. Shakedown: Hawaii parodies mega corporations, white collar crimes, and the most comically egregious business practices that go alongside. It playfully satirizes business that's so ballsy, you'll be left saying, "I'm not even mad, that's amazing!".
Build a "legitimate" corporation via open world missions, property acquisition, shakedowns, sabotage, market manipulation and collateral "re-zoning".
The entire island is up for grabs... or at least, will be once you ruffle enough feathers.

Shakedown: Hawaii is finally almost content-complete, meaning nearly all of the story missions are in, and the business acqusition metagame is fully functional. The primary focus now is on polish, tuning, playtesting, and fixing bugs. There's still a lot of playtesting to do, so it's not quite around the corner just yet, but it does mean the end is in sight. It also means I'll have more time to do trailers and start unveiling everything.
September's upcoming trailer will be an in-depth overview of the game. It'll unveil the story, characters, missions, business acquisitions, multipliers, shops, character customization, upgrades, and more.
Shakedown: Hawaii is coming to Wii on July 9, followed by Wii U and Steam in August, developer Vblank Entertainment announced. The Wii version will be limited to 3,000 copies and cost $29.99.
