Aww man, I hope the PSP homebrew scene kicks back up, there's so much potential for PSP's. The day someone makes a new homebrew firmware will be the best day ever. Smile

yeah i saw that too... no surprise really...no point providing the homebrew developers the isos, if none of them are working on loaders... artisan realise their work is redundant, and so they are moving along to do something else which is worthwhile and beneficial to others.

well Xbox360 dumps are being released, and there's no way to run them yet.
and when PSP games were first dumped there was no way to run them either, the nfo's used to say:
"In a really near future , a loader will be released to make games work via the memory card."
I don't see no reason why the games shouldn't be dumped anymore. how's anyone gonna make a loader for them if they don't have the games? and you never know what fuck-ups will appear, such as the xbox kiosk demo.

its a bit different this time round though... when a new system is released, its kinda open season, u never know what loopholes are in there, and its only a matter of time till some are found... but the psp's early faults were found, and sony has patched them up many times, and has implimented security measures on new games that checks for these security fixes before they'll run... its not the end of the road for the psp and isos, but its definately one hell of a roadblock, and nothing will shift for a while im sure.

IF (and i say IF, because im not sure there are...) any people still trying to work on 2.0+ loaders, they allready have all the resource material (ie 2.0, 2.5) isos they need to work out a solution... so really, theres no need for artisan to bother releasing isos anymore until new loaders are made.

lol, the PSP Scene isnt dead, the only area you are finding dead is the Warez area!!!...

Most Homebrew developers hate people that run ISO's / Warez so dont bother coding a loader, theirs probably only 1 out of 10 coders that would work on a loader.

There is still a pretty huge issue with the PSP homebrew scene.. take a look at the GP scene and compare the two, granted that is an open source console, but it lacks the power that the PSP has..

I wont be happy till I see a PS emu on the PSP Razz

yea, GP32 and GP2X is open Source, PSP isnt which is why they have a bigger scene. PSP is doing good for a closed system.

oh yea, I own a GP32 as well, might get a GP2X if I see the need Smile

the reason noone works on loaders isn't a nobel one, its a fame one.

make tetris run on 2.6 and everyone sings your praises and your name goes far and wide

make a loader and the only ones that give you praise are the pirates... its a fame game thats all... and the loader 'problem' is proof that the number of people concerned with challenge development WITHOUT the global appreciation, is dwindling.

Tokobot is 'working', yes, but you can't put the psp into standby mode, you have to shut it all the way off and load everything back up if you want to walk away for a while. Standby is one of the best features for me. Hopefully someone will convince Humma Kuvala to continue his work, or release his sources to someone that can.

no. no gta. gta isn't a saving issue, its a much more serious 'i need 2.0 to run' issue...

The GTA UMD was signed by God himself. Only Jesus is capable of playing it on 1.5.
Get over it.
