I figured not many people shared images, so here's my 4K screenhot gallery of Dirt 4, plus its graphics settings.

Graphics settings and full gallery on my website: http://www.pcmrace.com/2017/06/07/epic-shots-dirt-4/

Bear in mind that this build may not have the day-1 patch, so graphics may improve when it's released.

Here's some pics:

AFAIK, because Codemasters hasn't released the PC day-1 patch. Will report back if graphics improve.

Looks like you got your wish. People saying it feels like a dumbed down dirt rally in regards to physics. Sitting at about 50% positive reviews on steam. Ganna give it a try myself tonight or tomorrow.

Let the dudebros and need for speeds rejoice! Laughing

the reason they didn't use denuvo this time is because you must have a game to attach denuvo into it and this...this is not a game Laughing

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand it's a DUD

If dirt rally never existed I'd probably be saying this is a pretty good simcade. But because dirt rally does exist it ends up some weird hybrid between dirt 3 and rally I can't help but dislike.
Played an hour and just tested some various surfaces with the bmw e30 (my fav car from rally) and the audi quattro. All assists off, simulation mode and graphics on high/ultra.

The graphics - It looks so much worse then dirt rally in some situations you gotta wonder wtf happened? Lower texture detail. Lots of vegetation/tree popin. Less detailed trackside. The lighting looks flat and odd sometimes. The weather effects are the only positive I can come up with. Performance seems ok.

Physics - reminds me of when dirt rally first came out in early access, but worse. Everything grips too much and the balance of the car feels wack. Always wanting to understeer even if you change roll bars, toe, camber, suspension etc. Good example is trying to do a simple Scandinavian flick. It just feels like somethings fighting you the whole way and it's not satisfying even when you get it. Better make sure your handbrake bind is handy. Never tried tarmac or rallycross who cares about that shit.

Force feedback - is another fail. Again it feels like what dirt rally was when it launched in EA. Probably not that bad honestly but it's trying. Barely anything comes through my g27 except for obvious effects like bumps and steering weight. Can't really feel what the tyres and suspension are doing or when things hook up. Remember that nice pulsating feeling that simulated tyre traction when powersliding around a corner? Yeah nah thats gone.

Sound - Really good. Same as dirt rally.

The track generator is the best thing this game does. My oh my if only we could just get that in dirt rally with a bunch of new locations as DLC! I'd buy it in a second. I'm sure after a while you see repeat sections every now and then but the sheer variety you can get is impressive.

Overall a big disappointment considering how good dirt rally was.
Gotta say it's worth a look if you just wanted another dirt 3 though.
Maybe this is another early access and they forgot to tell us? In that case come back in 3-6 months and it might be great Twisted Evil

People expecting Dirt Rally 2, even when this game clearly is designed for the causal market.. get the game anyway and complain it's not as good.

Intelligence. It's not just a good idea.

The game was marketed as both a simulation and an arcade game. I judged it as a simulation and compared it to it's predecessor, which was also a simulation. Keep the mental gymnastic to yourself next time Laughing

Even though I was not following closely, what I read from direct statements was that it will be very similar from a simulation perspective to Dirt Rally.

That you somehow relate this to intelligence actually says more about your intellect Laughing

I have the issue that the game is constantly scrolling up, no other controllers attached, i even uninstalled all the joystick drivers to bugfix it. Nothing. This is anger inducing, cant even get past the profile creation. And with xbox controller attached the button icons arent correctly matched and only show up as the standard (1) (2). Is this 1995?

Big surprise Troll Dad

Anyway, very conflicting reports. Some say the game sucks because too much grip, others say it's better and more realistic than the weightless Dirt Rally cars.
