Accepting that a modern African country is the most technologically advanced country in the world is really going to strain my suspension of disbelief, even more than 100 year old soldier on super-steroids, a lab nerd who transforms into a giant green dude with anger issues, and an alien 'god'.

Still, looks neat.

Still more credible than other marvel movies trying to get us believe Americans are noble, heroic and stand for justice though, right? Razz

If we could survive the tripe that was the captain america movies, being able to believe this films setup will be a cakewalk.

I'm pretty sure that's what happened here.
The poster was probably him in mask, until some producer came along and asked for the actors face to be shown. Hence, this lame "paste a face on a body" job.

i will say i thought the character was well played in civil war, and one of the only interesting things that i even LIKED in it.

that said, i reaallly hope this isnt marvels 'BLACK POWAH, I SHALL FIGHT AGAINST ALL THE EVIL WHITE MENZ' franchise... but given that its a black character, sadly thats how i can imagine it'll go. People seem incapable of having a strong character thats just STRONG... cant have a strong character that happens to be a woman any more, you MUST have a strong FEMINIST, because rahhh stare rape is a thing, and everything is the mans fault!! cant have a strong black character that is just a guy that happens to be black... nope, gotta have him fight the white man because BLACK LIVES MATTER STILL TRENDS ON TEH TWITTERZ!!!1 FUCK THE PO-LEESE!!

I admit i dont know much about the character, but from the few comics i have seen, he never came across as a racist character... so i guess we'll see how it goes in the movie.

Nah, story won't be about black vs white. Itt'll be about him dealing with infighting in his own country, especially after Captain Gollum Claw escapes. Again. Probably embarassing for a young ruler, also, keeping Bucky on ice probably won't be seen as a good move either.

should have stayed classic it would have still worked...

all black cast is ok... they can't do wolverine story
they can't really do young capn america story though it would be awesome if they did. (maybe they'll do it as an intro - which would be nice)

movie will do well cause they introduced the character prior in a bad ass kind of way so is ok.
people will go see it.

+1 I was thinking, is he really complaining about a movie set in the heart of Africa about not having (enough) white people? Laughing It's like complaining there's no dark-skinned people in Vikings.

Anyways, not sure about the movie, I liked Black Panther a lot in the last Captain America, but not sure the character can save this from being mediocre (like most MCU films anyway).
