Not enough gameplay, no surprises, meh. Only one new game to look forward to.

Someone should have told devolver that e3 is about future game releases. Guess they quite missed the point or just took shrooms beforehand. It was like an car accident terrible and disgusting but you just couldnt look away.

Dunno bout you but i expect game announcments from e3.
Besides that what makes devolver better than any other company. Just because they made a parody doesnt mean they still dont want your money. They just follow a different strategy.
Besides on all the time spend on the parody games they programmed for their show and post show they could have made something real constructive

Personally as quite disssapointed by MS conference ... nothing really big to show apart from XbokseX (loved thed downgrade of crackdown without the magical power of cloud) and even on that i notices quite a framedrops .... Bethesda had ton of crap with expected reveals , was fine. EA was pure EA
lametta wrote: | Dunno bout you but i expect game announcments from e3. |
i guess thats on you, they said it before that the confrerence wont have any reveal
(they will most likely happen on PC gaming show or other twitch shows and shit) And even with that they showed more of actual gameplay than EA

post show is Twitch's thing not really part of devolver conference , but they show Devolver and adult swim games in there

Yes, and if you have a good game you don't have to "stand out", you don't have to be a freak, all you have to do is show your excellent game. It has worked since the beginning of games.
If you have shit you have to resort to something else, like here.

This wasn't part of E3, was it? But even if it was, we had plenty conferences so far, yet we have barely seen any real gameplay footage. Everything is just a fuckin show including those so called gampeplay videos which are heavily scripted bullshit full of visible post processing effects. We are not treated with what these games can offer but with cinematics and a lot of wannabe entertainment on the scene.

Who expects anything else on E3 other than "Announcements". Please guys, you're old enough to be aware of this already.

I only have expectations from the PC gaming show. It's a more humble conference focused more on the games not the marketing.

Devolver Digital presentation seems pretty spot on to me.
If I was to venture a guess, the main target of the presentation looks to be to development studios, not consumers (not to say gamers were disregarded, just not the primary demographic). They made the spot something to be talked about, and look at how much press they are, and will be getting due to this stunt. They are a publisher after all, and publishers sell their ability to get press.
Furthermore, most developers seem to hate E3. These big game conferences, for the most part, require the development teams to work on demos instead of the actual game; costing weeks to months of extra production time with debatable pay offs. The hype train would run just fine without E3 and its ilk.

"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty
