Did you guys also download the Fisher release and overwrite the necessary files in the baldman "package"?

I haven't done that as it seems absurd having to d/l an additional 28 gigs after I've downloaded 21 gigs by baldman already.

1.- Warhammer.40k.DoW.III.SteamRip-Fisher (about 28GB)
2.- Warhammer.40000.Dawn.of.War.III.v.4.0.0.16278.Crack.by.BALDMAN.and.Voksi (about 178MB)

Overwrite 1 with 2
done Smile
Nice! That was the package I was looking for! Very Happy Gonna go try this tonight.

Streaming Now!

So, played a bit and omg this is bad. I mean the MP was meh at best or worse, but the singleplayer is boring me to hell (and defeat). It's like I couldn't give two shits to actually wanna complete the missions. They're so freaking boring...

Using this version:

Warhammer.40000.Dawn.of.War.III.v.4.0.0.16278.Crack.by.BALDMAN.and.Voksi

Worked right off and you have to hit ESC that first time when it hangs on "Please Wait". After that, subsequent launches are seamless.

Quite damn pretty and runs smooth as glass with everything maxed out @ HD on specs below. Mind you, skirmish does not seem to work (yet) as it seems locked out but assume it will at some point be resolved. Smile Otherwise, works fabulously under Win 10 Pro (pre-Creators Update).

There is a new annihilation mode coming out that will remove the moba style objectives soon. They are also adding player placed turrets for all 3 factions. Should make it play more like Dow 1.

I also tried few missions, and even my hype about warhammer universe did not help to at least a bit enjoy this abomination. It feels so shallow, cartoonish, that I didnt even try to play whole night. Even base construction does not provide any joy. I`m sad.

I keep forcing myself forward, trying to finish the game in hard. After the initial failures, I think I really got the hang of it now and the absent AI is no longer an issue.

It's really not hard, it's just insanely long lol. And the AI really is absent. That's shown by the fact, that you can eliminate enemy units from afar, without them moving lol. They just stand there and wait for you to kill them.

Or units which are in COVER, running out of cover to attack YOU lol.

So much fail.

But I really wanna see, if there at leat is some kind of payoff story wise ... somewhere .. Smile

PS: I made a Let's play thread with my progress Smile (for those who missed it)

There isn't much payoff story-wise. Somewhere towards the end it gets bad with a Starcraft 2 level of cheesiness.
The multiplayer is the game's strongest suit but lacks content for the long run.

I'm at mission 5, but still can't unlock any new Elites or those doctrines.
Will it come later, or is it some asshole online-only feature not available in the cracked version?

Yeah, Elites also reset their ranks after each mission. I don't know if that will be a proper further down or not (for me in my hard play through).

@bob, still have your key for sale? I'll offer you 5€!

EDIT: actually nm. You can actually select different elites, just not doctrines.

You can however not always change all elites, but that simply because they are locked in (Macha, Angelos and the main orc dude), but the others are interchangeable.

Indeed... offline skirmish still not exist in the cracked version yet so the release just seems Campaign-only right now. Sad

Legit version. Can't start the game in Steam offline mode. Tells me to reconnect.

And finished the campaign.

Was nothing special at all and had no charm of the previous DoW games.
Also the devs tried so hard to mimic Starcraft 2, but failed.

But still was okayish to satisfy my RTS needs a bit.

I don't see the campaign imitating Starcraft 2 at all. It's rather similar with the Ardennes Assault DLC campaign from Company of Heroes 2 but without the same variety of objectives.

Not sure what exactly it was, but i often got Starcraftish vibes.

For examples those briefings before a mission, where you can also listen to what others characters have to say.

The three playable races are so similar to the ones in SC.

Some missions where you mostly play as a hero only.
