I am still somewhat Blizz fan,and Playing SC2 a lot on the net.. But I am not in denial.
The problem with Blizz, they pretty much went downhill "We are not Milking our games, We are just splitting it for better experience"
It was Somewhat hold true with SC2 up to Legacy of the Void(my favorite chapter so far) But after they just didn't stop, SC2 is now infected with overpriced DLCs.
I am sorry, but Nova content(and the rest of the DLCs) should be free for the people that bought all the previous chapter.
Blizz sadly became corrupted from the money people willing to pay for skins
I don't consider their DLCs even worth mentioning... but when they whip out a real, full-fledged new game, judging by past experience I know I'll enjoy it immensely. Every full game they released so far was a win for me. It's a pity that they only release their games so rarely.
For me, the game died the moment they decided to remove trading from the game.
That was one of the best things they ever did in my opinion. I simply cannot see why people did not like to see the back of the AH. It ruined the game completely.

Maybe because the last difficulty was so trash that it forced many players to buy items from RMAH just to progress? Pay to win game at a 60$ price tag, that's what this industry needs!
I think you misunderstood Reg67, he is glad the AH was abolished. Same for me btw, most people who are angry that the AH is out were the ones looking to make a profit.
It's a trash game anyway, super dumbed down mechanics and boring itemization.. fortunately there are other better games, even Torchlight 2 released around the same time filled the void of disappointment D3 left.

I was in a bit of a hurry so I've read only the first sentence. Shame on me!
That being said, the real cash AH didn't bother me either. But it wasn't the real issue anyway.
Once they actually changed the items to "WoW-like", the AH was already gone. But then they decided to make all the items bound to character and that kind of killed the fun for me. Why play online or with people at all?^^

It's a win win. When you find items in groups you have a trade window with those that are in the same game think it is 30 min. Fastest way too get items is to play with others. Win win.
Except not really. Items pretty much drop for Classes. The whole "put stamina + main stat on every item, like in WoW/mmo's, totally ruined the whole thing.
So only same main stat users can really share most items, because of the above limitation.
Anyway, the way it is now, it feels like an online only single player game.
I'll be getting the necro to play with during the next season. I've been getting more than enough hours of playtime out of my initial purchase money that I can safely spend a few euro's on this to make the next season feel more fresh (cause it was stale, I'll admit). I probably would've spent up to 20, so I'm happy with this.
See so many people wanting this to be free or a full fledged expansion.. I can understand why they'd want those things, but I always wonder if they are being realistic about it. I hope not..
Got all excited with today's official Necromancer release.
Bought it, just to find out that the next season doesn't start till a week or two in July. WHAT KIND OF SICK FUCK DOES THAT?!!
Feel kind of cheated now....
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

I was planning to get it today, but definitely not if I cannot even use it immediately. (I don't care that there's no new season yet, few hours of leveling and gearing and it'll be good.)

You can play immediately, just not Season mode because there's no active season.
They should have synched the start of the new season with the new patch/character. That'd make far too much sense though.

Perhaps, that and probably give players some time to learn the new class in time for the season start I suppose, learning the various set and unique item bonuses and those runes and passives.
Probably also running through the new added content such as those two new adventure zones for act 2 and those rifts and challenge dungeons.
Haven't played the game in ages myself though, probably would be quite a different game from what I remember ha ha.
Was waiting for some actual new content but i had hoped for something closer to a actual expansion, guess that could still happen for the 3.0.0 release whenever, guessing the game will still be around for a few more years.
The 2nd expansion was probably scapped. That's why we are getting new area's, kanai's cube etc.
They finished the necromancer to recoup some of the money.
I started my necro on hardcore this morning, gonna see how it goes, level 20 currently, but now at work.
I think you can play hardcore well if you do not go for the blood set.. which always drains your health and you have to leech constantly.
You get the skeleton army pretty early, and with the skeletal mages a pet build feels great and very different from the which doctor. WD pet builds always felt too passive to me, with the necro you control your pets more directly. Constantly have to keep mages up, direct the skeletal army around for extra damage, make your golem hurl itself at bosses so they have some corpse stacks at their feet for you to use corpse explosion on.
And you stay nicely out of range. Feels good so far, I'm excited to see how it holds up for late game.
No. Unless you want to waste money on a game that has an illogical story probably written by a 14 year old who hasn't read anything more than comic books. Even the gameplay can't follow in the footsteps of its predecessors having none of the elements that made those games great.
But hey, it's always online! Despite not having a trade system or having any activities worthy of online play.
