Then why did the film makers keep trying to injection emotional and serious dramatic segments into it and spoiling my popcorn fun then, fooooooooolllll!!

Director didn't have the skills to pull off that kind of tonal merging

The Circle - 3/10

Script was Facepalm (imagine if Black Mirror's episodes were written by crap writers) and the (directing of the) performance of Watson was confusing to say the least. Even after the film ended I'm still not sure what the character's beliefs really were (if any?!).

Poor.

Circle - 6.5/10

That was impressive for such a low-budget flick jackbomb! I really enjoyed that, I was entertained, mortified, and intrigued regarding what would happen next throughout the film! The pacing is excellent (helps due to how simple the idea is).

+1 for having a much more definitive ending than other films of the genre but -0.5 for having an unneeded repeat of voice over from earlier in the film over it.

It was an unexpected film for myself too, and the intrigue was worth the wait. Glad you liked it.

wonder woman 6/10
they were trying to do capn murica and they failed it needed propaganda and shit
didn't finish it. stopped 30 minutes away from the end.

Awful green screen / cgi.
A lot of suspension of disbelief is needed for this shitfest.
A lot of shit didn't make sense either...

edit:

5/10
can't believe the climax was as boring as the whole movie.
i read the hype. finally a superheroine movie. it's amazing. wonder woman is amazing!!!
fucking cg/blue screen bull shit and really misused fx. no need for the slow downs where they were. it's just a typical dceu movie....

Fences - 8/10

Good old uncle Denzel did a fine job here, I really enjoyed this movie. It's a play in film form where the fulcrum of everything is the acting and the characters themselves, it doesn't try to do anything complex cinematographically speaking, but the final result works very well in terms of immersion and involvement.
The acting really is the true star, both Washington's and Viola Davis' performances are especially incredible, powerful and able to carry the entire movie. Perhaps..it would have been even better if it had stopped five minutes earlier (but that's just a minor personal opinion Very Happy). Not for everyone, but definitely recommended for all the range of different feelings and uniqueness.

Hacksaw Ridge - 7.5/10 - Unbelieveable what the guy actually did, but the movie itself felt really fake. SOmething was off, everything was by the books.

John WIck 2 - 7/0 - I liked the simplicity of the first movie much more, the story and characters in this one were utterly ridiculous. Impressive how a guy with one facial expression and a monotone voice makes millions in Hollywood. You must be really awesome to make a lot of money with something you really suck at.

Jack Reacher: Never go back 0/10
Absolutely horrible, stopped watching after an hour. Only reason why I held out so long was because I saw it on an airplane...
First Jack Reacher at least had some cool action, but this one had nothing. Cringeworthy acting, childlike dialogues, ridiculous story (you can make a drinking game out of all the conveniences & deus ex machina moments, but it will give you alcohol poisoning). And the whole movie seemed sponsored by the US-army.

Ghost in the shell (2017)

~7.5++ / 10

It was pretty good especially considering it's a Hollywood film.Great visuals and setting, OK story and Scarlet was a nice Major.. The major problem (influencing ratings) it has is..it's title.

I'm not gonna lower my rating for this film like others butthurt viewers simply coz Hollywood stripped some philosophical ideas and shit that were in the manga\anime.

I can simply appreciate it as it is , and on it's own I'd say it's a good cyberpunk film and doesn't deserve such hate. Some other cyberpunk films got better ratings but their story and writing is no better to say the least.

Yeah,, writing in general (too much unnecessary explanation etc etc) , characters and all could be done better but it's most certainly not a 6.6/10 material as per imdb ratings.

It's a shame it flopped coz I think they won't risk making another cyberpunk film in the nearest future (except for Blade Runner).

English VO: 6.5/10
Hungarian VO: 9/10

I remember this one being fucking hilarious with Hungarian VOs, but now I watched the original version, and quite a few jokes fell flat. I have to watch the older Brooks movies to remind myself what a good comedy is. Razz

Okja 8/10

A bit of a strange beast, this one. On the one hand, it appears like its target audience are teenagers (some silly humour, little bit of slapstick here and there) but once the story is underway, it slowly becomes more of a horror movie (there's a scene near the end that could have come straight out of Schindler's List).
I guess its impact depends on how you feel about animal (wellfare), which I strongly do (being vegetarian for 23 years now).

Sometimes it tries too hard to get its message across, and near the end they truly try their best to get you crying. But its heart is definitely in the right place, and I think it's a must see movie for everyone concerned about the meat/food industry, GM-food, and the massive numbers of animals being bred and killed on a daily basis, just because we like their taste (health is not an argument).

There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

Security (2017)

Nice Banderas to again see.

Bit of a weird one. Got a bit too silly to be a solid thriller, not bombastic enough to be a loud fun action film... Starts off almost light hearted, before suddenly spinning into a bit of a tragic, dramatic story at times..

And I'm sorry, but I know Kingsley was once a respected actor, but thanks to some recent choices, I just can't see him as anything less than a cheesy over the top caricature.

Banderas was very solid though... Had a bit of a logan look going for him... Wonder if that was accidental or not, but yeah... He and the supporting "good guy" cast actually did a pretty good.

And can we take a moment to respect the first ever character who,

Not his fault he is offered such roles and he needs money to eat, drink, snort coke, fuck whores and shit Laughing

Such a fate befalls almost any aged actor.Pacino, De Niro etc..

Hey, Patrick Stewarts had his share of dumb roles, but he is still respectable as hell... Kingsley is just a ham, and it wasn't until the roles weren't so good, that it finally showed....

And now, sadly, shit roles are all he can get.
