Mt.Gox Hack Allegedly Reveals Bitcoin Balances, Customer Account Totals

Quote:
Anonymous hackers have defaced Mt.Gox CEO Mark Karpeles’ blog and have uploaded a data dump of customer data that, according to users with accounts on the site, is accurate. A Reddit user created an Excel spreadsheet [mirror] of anonymized user accounts with balances, and many current Mt.Gox users have found their balances present.

Naw China dumping because the PBOC is forcing Chinese banks to stop providing accounts to Bitcoin exchanges. Supposedly on April 14-15ish a new announcement will be made. Until then people are dumping as each Chinese exchange announces closure of bank accounts.

What do you mean? Why wouldn't they sell the coins? Police regularly sells property taken from criminals afaik. Good thing IMO.

Hmm but the trial isn't over yet, so shouldn't the bitcoins still be locked up (as for example as evidence).

Hm, what a recommended transfer fees?

I was using 0.0005 BTC so far. But yesterday it happened that a payment was stuck at "unconfirmed" till just now.

Googling a bit i found out that it was probably because of the too low fee.
And people recommended 0.002 BTC. But that seems rather much. Embarassed

everybody knew it would be bearish, nothing to worry. if you invested at the beginning of the year you still made a huge profit (or would make it if you sell it now)

but everybody who bought cards in the last 2 months was just stupid, and that was known 2 months ago already that its stupid to buy cards for mining ethers

Every investment I've touched in the last 3yrs has been absolute failure and misery. Fortunately not enough money to really hurt though. Sailed into oblivion with mchart and other humpers in oil investing last year too.

I invested in the 3x bull oil ETF called UWTI in november right before the OPEC deal announcement, and made a cool 30% in 10 days or so. That was neat Smile
But his EXXI company looked fucky from the start :/
