No thanks...

EDIT:

We don't know for sure if recent UHD released means that AAC 2.0 indeed got cracked or some say it's just exploits used for these specific Blueray disks...

Only about twice the size of 1080p I think for 4 times the pixels, 10bit, and HDR? Once I have a 4K TV Ill prefer 4K remux versions Very Happy

"AACS 2.0 is not hacked. This disc (Smurfs 2 PAL) had faulty keys that were exploited. That's no conversion, so THIS is a real 1:1 copy. But other discs do not have this exploit."

Another BRRIP?

I guess that group managed to find some exploits if they didn't truly defeated AAC 2.0..

well, i use my PC as a player..
or better, the GPU..

MPC-HC as player, MADVR as renderer and LAV-Filters(wich do support 4k++) for the codec and filters...

works flawless here..

Thanks for the reply,

Is there an option i should select on nvidia settings or mpc-hc? Or you use the default settings?

My laptop specs: i7 5700HQ, 16GB Ram, 960m 2GB

It should be enough for 4K video right?

Just tried Passganers 4K release on old PC via VLC, bearly plaied and getting stuck over..

I might try it on newer PC's I have and maybe restarting that PC will imporve things up.

If anyone has proper media player for 4K media playing or VLC settings Will glad to hear.

proper player?

Use MPC-HC and install the LAV-Filters.
this alone is more then enough to play 4k contend without problems..

in LAV, use either, DXVA2 CopyBack if ur using your GPU for it, or go for Intel Quick sync if you have a strong CPU with an integrated iGPU. the CPU´s are strong enough for it and have native 4k decoding..

If you want to use your GPU, at least have gtx670 or better.. its allready very demanding on an gtx670 since it doesnt do native 4k...

on teh 800 series , even the low ones, it works fine, since they all have native 4k decoding..

Thanks for the tips! Good stuff!

Installed Lav-filters solved the problem, now runs smooth Smile

Regarding the "slow motion" problem while using the KS8000 internal video player and reading from the HDD/Pen-drive, theres no way to fix the "slow motion" right?

The only way to watch these 4k files on TV is to :

- Stream from PC to TV
- Use the PC and connect it to TV with HDMI

Right?

Cheers guys.

Sorry to go a little off topic here, but does anyone use a program called Mezzmo for streaming from your computer to TV's around your house ? If so, has anyone managed to stream a UHD movie with no issues ? I ask because Mezzmo says it can stream UHD fine but I'm yet to stream anything successfully :-/

1) MPC-HC already has LAV integrated

2) You should use DXVA2 Native for better performance, it does everything in video memory (decoding, optional postprocessing via GPU shaders, rendering). Copy-back mode copies the frame back to system RAM after decoding it in video memory, so it can optionally be post-processed (but this is not needed even for madVR, it does everything in VRAM).

I use Mezzmo... I don't use UHD. So can't really help there. But I can tell you to ask help on their forum. They answer peoples questions and maybe someone already had the same problem over there. Doubt many use or have used it on here.

I think the 2017 UHD models were a bit meh, the Samsung ones were apparently equal or even worse to 2016 models that I have (KS8000).
I'm very satisfied with my KS8000 though.
