Guess it matters little for a airplane but if those are safety belts only one of those configurations will actually keep you safe and protected.
Which isn't really the point I suppose, at least they didn't use a power cable or something since with that only one connection would actually get you turned on.
Well, 2 out of 3 of those passenger are slamming into the ceiling when the plane hits heavy turbulence, so maybe that is their stance on the subject.
