Westworld season 2 filming suspended after cast member medical emergency
HBO have stated filming on the second season has been temporarily halted after an unspecified recurring cast member had an emergency off set. In a statement (via Deadline), HBO said: ‘Due to a medical emergency involving a performer in a recurring role on season 2 of Westworld, filming on one of the two units has been temporarily suspended.
‘The cast member was not on set when this occurred, and out of respect for the performer’s privacy, we have no additional details to share, other than that everyone at Westworld sincerely hopes for a quick recovery.’ While details are sparse, it’s believed the injury was caused after a male member of the cast fell and hit his head at home.
Westworld season two was expected to release in Spring 2018, but it’s currently unclear whether the release date could be pushed back.
UPDATE: HBO says Westworld recurring actor Zahn McClarnon is doing well following on off-set injury Wednesday and will be back at work next week as production resumes.
Also, filming has been underway since early July. The show is expected to return in the Spring.
Trailer disappointing to be honest. I was hoping they'd take the show somewhere different, a different landscape etc - maybe futuristic or another point in time historically. This looks like it's more of the same "let the robots uprise". Can't see it going anywhere but hey I'm usually wrong about these things.

It will probably appear, but it won't be the sole focus.
I thought the Japan park route was quickly dismissed by the creators after the final episode (the fans went crazy after seeing that ).
My guess is we'll still see short pieces of it (and hopefully other winks to the original movie: ancient Rome and medieval times), perhaps as part of the uprise.

I too hope we will see more of ancient china or some other cultures.
Somehow it seems very fitting to me, to mix those with the western theme.

I though is just there to signal there are other worlds/ parks, meaning other Robots too, maybe already walking among "us".
It will be hard to top the first season arc and follow up from a good end point.

Between Westworld proper and now Shogun World, the increasingly self-aware (not to mention the increasingly violent) hosts have a much bigger sandbox to play in in season two. What's more, the road doesn't end with these two parks. As previously reported, there are at least four other additional parks beyond Westworld and Shogun World, their identities completely under wraps for now. Will we see them revealed in season two, or is that a matter for a future iteration of the series? For now at least, the human inhabitants of the Delos parks have more pressing matters to consider.
