By far prefer ARMA's complex ballistics as opposed to all the arcade shooters mentioned above. I wish more dev's would add complexity rather than dumb it down all the time.
I noticed you can pg up/dn set range 200-300 meters etc but it doesn't seem to make much difference. In ARMA you can use a range finder, site distance to a target, adjust the rifle then get accurate shots. Some scopes allow you to calculate range on the fly etc.. either way it means that asshole sniper on a hill still needs some skill to make 800-1000m shots.
The game is fine and all, but it needs some chill. I get it, it's battleroyal but it would be nice if they can put some gamemodes in which we don't have to worry about electrical shit.
Grinding, looting and sometimes shooting at other dudes are good enough fun.

Ya but thats why its a success, Arma's too slow for the cod, battlefield, cs gamers etc. With Pubg your getting a little bit of both worlds.
Then you will lose interest. Apparently you bought something you didn't have an actual interest into and now you want it turned into a regular shooter. Why not just play a regular shooter instead?
dude u can win this game just using a car playing carmageddon
im saying they should use their momentum and add new game modes asap before they lose 50% of the playerbase who tried it , especialy after gamescom rush is over. a game like this thrives on infloux of new players, once that influx stops, all ur left with is the better guys evading each other making terrible gameplay
why u against more game modes anyway, its not taking anything away from u, let me have my fun, and u keep having yours sitting behind a tree for 10 minutes waiting for the other guy to move so u can be like OMG IM THE BEST CAMPER EVER, there is simple to much dead time and space between the first few mins and the last few mins from the solo perspective
i like more action, ill push for a turbo and respawn mode to be added, period , if u can get to top 10 just being afk while taking a dump on the toilet then there is room for improvement
Because this is purely battle royale game. The whole focus of that game is battle royale so i really don't see the point of forcing other mods into it.

And you can beat Dark Souls at lvl 1 using the starting gear. Your point?

That's why the playerbase increased by like 4 times in the last couple of months, because players want to turn BattleRoyale into another generic shooter!

Because you can have your fun in 50 other generic shooters. I don't want the developers to waste money to cater to the needs of gamers that have plenty of options anyway.
PS: I want to see you winning that way (carmageddon style).
Travelling towards the cirkle on foot taking a short stop at some tree to scout the surroundings. BLAM, someone killed me with a headshot.
I nearly crapped my pants from the sound of the bullet hitting.
Still a fun game.
EDIT: removed gibberish, for some reason my phone "withaspoon" instead of "with".

Ballistics and weapon overhaul (implementation of air drag, per-scope zeroing etc.) is planned right after vaulting update.
I like the weight of the guns, I like how the recoil handles but my only complaint would be the difference in aiming when looking down the sight and holding the right mouse button. Am I just stupid or do they aim at two totally different spots? (3rd person mode)
And is this the final state of the AKM now? I know it had too little recoil before.
And last question: Are bullets actually travelling at realistic speeds? It seems as if bullets in pubg travel slower than in real life.
The accuracy in 3rd person shooting has been deliberately tempered with so players don't abuse it. The bullets not going where the sight points when not holding your breath, that's an actual issue (the netcode might have something to do with it).

Holding breath only stabilizes the sway, it has no effect on weapon MOA, and netcode has no effect on hit accuracy.

This behavior of TPP->ADS is intended to prevent quick scoping.
No weapon is in it's final state. A lot will change when we focus on ballistic pass.
Most weapons use realistic muzzle velocity with few exceptions being -5% / +5% for balance purposes. We don't have air drag yet, so they always travel at the same velocity after leaving the barrel.

But the netcode does have effect on the target's actual position.
just found my first dragunov, WTF is with the bullet drop omfg, its like shooting with the tanks in battlfield 1942 , fucking INSANE drop
That's not Dragunov and the low damage of the gun you found can easily be explained. Dragunov is a proper semi-automatic sniper rifle with a 7.62 cartridge and it's not in the game. What you found is VSS, a subsonic rifle with a 9mm cartridge.
i got me two kills with it somehow, but holy fuck, i was aiming at a guy like maybe 200m away and the bullet hit the dirt 100m in front of him rofl, had to aim almost twice his lenght above him haha
The state of the gaming industry must be absolutely horrible, if people are so thirsty for something THAT different, and accept half-polished products looking like this.
its kind of crazy though, dayz had like what, a 100k concurents in the stats ? people are bored out of their minds atm with all them shitty lackluster games out atm.
http://store.steampowered.com/stats/ this game is going to overtake dota2, but the patience is very low of the majority of these impulse buy customers, they need to hire fast and get in overdrive to release it, or they going to have millions of angry customers.
its a very fine line, scary actually, any minor setback and u will have nuclear explosions, as this is a completely new community, all bored people trying the hot shit , just ready to explode in anger when the fresh smell dries up and people dinf out how much is still left to be done
im counting on the steam market, to get me back the games purchase
im betting its a bubble ready to implode, the devs gonna go all dayz, money poisoning their minds and lose their balls making decisions keeping the game in limbo as every decision they make now will have millions of happy and millions of unhappy, and u never hear the happy guys, only the unhappy pitchforks
